    Perhaps someone changed the ecu in the car prior to you owning it. A new key should code to your car no problem though.

    sorry mate, hopefully somebody who has worked on a mk1 will know how they are connected. Im out of ideas. I thought the mk1's were electrical like the mk2's. how far does that white nipple extend out?

    Can you post a pic of what you are looking at? The headlight adjuster does not have pipes going into it. Only an eletrical plug with a couple wires.

    huh? the adjusters are electrical not water operated! you unplugged something else.

    Ive never had one done to any of my cars so cant really say. Im sure other members can help on that one. £600 does seem high, but i do know they arnt cheap.

    thats about right, im affraid. Not sure on the cost though. New ones are blank and once programmed to your car, wont work with anything else and cant be re-programmed. sorry mate. This may cost you.
