When fitting a stereo I always have the radio slot empty and feed them in through from the front. This way gravity will take them into the footwell and you can then route it how you want.
I've got a boot net. Didn't get it out of the bag for the first 9 months of ownership. Tried it out, decided it's pants, took it back out. It now lives back in it's plastic bag.
I got quoted ~£250 for my 36k. I assumed it included the aux belt change as it says it should be done in the manual. (didn't expect a quote for 90% of a 36k service) Asked why it hadnt been stamped when I picked the car up. They said only needs changing at 72k, I put them right by showing it...
I've got the standard 172 hu/6 disc changer set-up. If I change my HU, my existin disc changer won't work. However if I keep the original mounting rack, will it fit any brand of disc changer or only alpin, and also will it fit a 10 disc changer or only a 6?
Thanks.
Cos if you look past your nose and you decide you want to sell it. Take a potential buyer for test drive:

you - "oh that, it's a characteristic, they all do it, it's nothing to worry about :) "
them - "yeah right, I'm off :dapprove: "

If you're gonna get a pre-boxed active sub I'd go for a Vibe one. Check out this bad boy...

I had the "cheapest" clifford alarm you could get on one of my previous cars supplied and fitted by SQ Plus. When going through the brochure with them, they showed me a remote start module by Clifford that could be added to any Clifford alarm for £80.
But why dos it do it? WHY?!!! I ask you goddamnit! No other cars do it. Why is acceptable for a 172 to do it? It happens in my car exactly as described in the first few posts, when engaging 1st in a stationary position.
OK so I've gt my car back. They've fixed the suspension but they've not sorted my 1st gear clunk, AAAARGGH!! This is the second time I've asked them to sort it and it's not been done. They claim they can't recreate the fault. I could take a technician out and it'd do it within 5 times of...
I've had a call saying my car is ready for collection, I'm going to get it soon. I just hope they've remembered to do my MoT and replace the black box bracket.
