Me and my big mouth! I made the appointment for my car going in several weeks ago and I took it in at 8 this morning. I got a call this afternoon saying the new shocks they'd fitted were faulty so they need to keep it till tomorrow to get some more! I hope I get my car back tomorrow! :dapprove...
The garage should know what part it is without looking at your car, might be worth booking it in at a different garage if they don't know how to use a parts catalogue.
Am I the only one here who thinks there's nothing special about that price? My car is 6 months younger than the one mentioned but with 42k and I reckon I'd get £6-6.5k if I sold it now. At the end of the day that car is a company car so it's gonna have had the tits ragged off it. Would you buy a...
I don't think he's asking because he suspects having two boxes will give him stereo bass. I think he's asking because there are issues with air pressure affecting the sound waves.
2 boxes are better IMO
Look at the pedals in the foot well, locate the pedal on the right hand side, put it through the bulkhead and see tailgating problems vanish into the distance in the rear-view mirror! :)

found these on eBay ....not mine so I'm not plugging!
Agreed. Not intending to cause offence, but you've not got a car that's gonna break any track lap records. So get what's gonna look best (17's) :D Plus 17's don't cost much more than 16's and neither do the tyres.
I didn't really fancy spending that long dressing tyres, but I guess if it lasts twice as long you only do it half as much.
I used turtlewax "wet'n'blck" spray, then simonez "tyre black etc" (which was poor) and currently I'm using armorall tyre stuff which is really great, but lacks staying...
Thanks for your advice, I think I'll invest in a tube and get cracking next time there's a nice day.
I read about the PC in the other thread, I think I'll give one of those miss though! Too expensive for me.
This is what I'm gonna do, just confrim this is the right thing to do! :
1)Wash...
I would never normally recommend halfords for anything apart from getting ripped off. But I did get some silver indicator bulbs from Halfords for a few pounds. They looked silver, no orange at all and they flashed orange, not some funny white colour or similar. I would definitely recommend...
I'm very keen to hear the answer to this question also. Will 205's on the standard mk2 172 alloys fit ok? Will they adversely affect handling? Will they offer greater protection against kerbing?
I'm completely in the same boat here. My car looks completely gleaming and stunning. But in seeking prefection, I can see the swirl marks under intense light sources when viewed at an angle (bright sun, street lamps). I bought turtlewax colour magic plus which was ok, but only temporarily...
My 3 year manufacturer's warranty runs out at5 the end of this month. I've got 42k miles on the clock with full renault servie history and had the accessories belt changed at 36k like you're supposed to.
Am I able to extend my warranty with Renault or does anyone else have a third party...
If you abide by the Renault service intervals and have your car serviced at a Renault dealership. Surely you should be covered if your cam belt goes before 72k miles? Obviously you won't be under warranty as such by this point, but don't they have a duty of care or whatever?
