Hi all,
I'm looking around for a decent valver at the moment and I'd like to know what specific things I need to look out for when I start viewings. Could anybody shed any light on cambelt changes, rusty areas, leaks, tyres, service intervals etc etc and any other useful bits you think might...
Need some help people.
Have not driven my car for about 10 days and went to start her up today and it was just turning over and over but wouldn't start. All electrics running fine, immobiliser light flashing and then going solid when I turn the key. Have tried locking/unlocking a few times...
My cat is on it's way out and I want to replace it with a standard or sports cat. What would be your preference and what am I looking at price wise?
P.S. i don't want a decat
My service light has just come on, not sure why as the service isn't due for another couple thousand miles? Anyway, the airbag light has come on with it - does this mean I need the airbag checked/reset at the next service?
What would you guys say was a good price for a 2001 clio 1.2 expression in good condition, 55,000 miles, service history, tax and MOT.
£2,500??? Less, More?
I was so pleased with the performance of my clio now it has been lowered on eibach sportlines that I had to start a thread about it.
I cannot believe the difference it has made to handling!!!!! quite sensational.
Look out for my crash thread in a few weeks :race:
Hi Guys,
What would you think the monthly saving would be if I downgraded from a 172 to a 1.2 dynamique for example? Bear in mind I am 26 with 8 years NCB and I drive about 16 miles to and from work each day.
I'm thinking:
£50 fuel
£30 Insurance
£10 tax
What else???
It is obvious after searching the site that a cold air feed is a must if installing a BMC CDA.
Are there any guides on how to fit or where to buy from? Really dont want to suffer in the summer from heat soak.
What does everyone think of this?

I've seen lots of people doing similar things on here but when I get some extra funds together I was thinking about building/developing a track car(which is still road legal).
What model would people suggest for the shell/engine? (clio 1,2,3 or otherwise)
What would need upgrading?
What should I...
Just been on the halfords website and it is saying '3 for the price of 2' on all car cleaning products. I shall be paying them a visit on the weekend for some autoglym goodies i think.

ok i have a 2002 172 ff and want suggestions for my next mod!
It is standard apart from itg panel filter, my budget is about £100 for this months mod.
Lots of little bits or one mod? My silvervisions are already on order, front and back.
Having run my 172 on vpower since I've owned it, I recently had to put normal unleaded in the tank because the local shell had run out. My car is running a bit pants from cold now? Can't wait to get the vpower back in.
Spent 3 hours on a good clean up today. No clay or polishing but a good clean up nevertheless!! Thanks to Rich for advice on products.
Ignore this!!!! I will upload photos again!
Just searched for the cheapest set of sportlines for my 2002 172 and found demon tweeks to be the best priced at £127.80 including delivery. Can anybody find them cheaper?
