I'm assuming were on about 133hp starlet turbo ie the 4E-FTE one which is a much the same engine as the 1989 4E-F engine?
1988 the red top was first fitted to the Astra so we can gess was designed not far before that plus its got a cosworth designed head on it (apparently).

Depedns where ou get the engine fromt stock 225 engine will see 270hp so its just as powerful and more reliable than a turbo 172.
As for price well ktec sell the kit for the 172 tubro for £4k I think and since you can get megan 225 engine and boxes for less than that which are not only tested...
225 lump comes with a stonger engine though pistons are proper Low CR con rods stronger etc. Plus mates up to the stronger 6 speed gearboxses (ok though to fit one you need to cut the front arms of the car to make it fit).

Nope the 4k kick is nothing with VVT engine goes to a closed loop and the cam gets more efficnet due to the way it all is but its not desinged to be a chnage over point for economy vs power etc.
VVt is on at 1.6 off at 6.5k so long as the oils to temp and under the right pressure settings.
I don't think many of the other companies out there would agre or long term owners with that comment. There superly well built and put together often infact often.

Matt Balck has a load of 182 (much the same part) for £350 I think or £300 brand new unused with nw disks pads lines etc.
Cannot remmebr if its got a heat shiled but there only two things on the box the reversing light and the speedo sensor the speedo is the one at the back near the rear engine mount under the car.
There not that much £9 I think.
I bet the ball has fallen out of yours is a common problem you can just pull the ball out the new one and stick it in the old one thats the easy option or else you have to realy remove the wheole fornt bumper to swop the units.
Best off superglueing the ball...
The only worthwhile in the sligthes are the top front one and only then if there good and solid boled/welded to the shell and also you realy have other money spent on suspension.
