    The later engines design(04 plate on i think) have the new "Micra" design intake and throttle body manifold which gives the extra HP potential gains. All Mk2 phase 2 have PAS. Yep but the differences don't matter at this level realy.

    Just stops you reving any higher no warning lights should come on at all. Sounds liek you need to get the fault checked out might be a oil pressure sensor or level warning.

    As I said cheap relitive to what they are no hot hatch is going to be as cheap as say a economical diesel Clio/Yaris/206 etc. Then again there a different league of car you have to pay for it. I don't think prices are that bad though for what they are at all.

    There 1 or 2 aux belts there easy to chnage then there the cambelt which is the expensive one there all chnaged at the same time though.

    1.2 is enough to get you in real big trouble. Your dad much better of making limits to when who you drive with and getting experiance and buying you a 172 turbo than letting you lose in a 1.2

    Clyinder are I'd expect servo's are. Bleed the brakes that will sort the problem out otherwise check the pads condition.

    Govener. Unusal that what exact spec is it never looked into them to much often 5k is the best they let them rev to Most limit at 4.5k.

    Your the only person who can answer that see if you can take one for a long test drive. There cheap to run but its all relitive to what they are ie a hot hatch.

    Theres more than a few been done I believe. i realy don't see the point doing the transplant realy especialy if your doing ITb's might as well kleep to the "proper" 2.0 engine.

    You cna chnage the brake pads disk and calipers for valver/Williams/Most Mk2 phase 2 and 1.6 16V Mk2 phase 1 brakes as there the better ones. Forget changing servos. You can chnage the wings etc over as for suspension either get the valver engine fitted and then fit the Valver type...

    Nothing wrong with a 1.2 though? if your dad that much of a fanacit and won't let you lowere the stadard tell him to buy you a Porche or something to "fit in" just doens't make sence this to me. Yep 98 for the 1.4

    Not many infact any from memory rev to 5.5k then again they pull from under 2k so the power band makes the 172 look rubish reay.

    Not a stock part so bound to take a few days to get there. Go find a bolt specilaist place they will have some to fit in stock.

    I think the caliper bracket to hub bolts can be different just get them to be sure.
