Engine woulnd't start right as the plugs would fire in the wrong order. Thinking though the plugs don't work in the end never mind in the right order so scrap that idea. Earth straps there ones from the engine and gearbox Sounds like he needs to check everyhting plugged in.

Brand new means nothing get it on chnagre it might have enought to run lights just not enough to run the car. Has he reconnnected the earth straps and got the coil leads the right way round etc?

172all the way personaly I like having a spare wheel well and there no huge difference. Plus the 182 wheels are useless at letting brakes cool. And I don't like "upgrading"

Thats the Renault offical fix is that zip tie was enough they would have used it.

It is a shame they'd have to find an ideal engine first the 1.5 would have to be tunned a lot realy as its already at the limit of the gearbox so either a new gearbox ould need to be desinged (not happeneing) or make another box it. Otherwise they'd have to stick a biger CC in ie the 2.0 one as...
