my bro had an accident in his fiesta zetec and he had air filter, alloy wheels, black rear clusters, and he hadnt told the insurance company (direct line) and they still paid out, they just said to swap the aftermarket stuff with the standard stuff as they wouldnt cover the cost of the mods.

i know in some cars it helps if you hold the clutch down for 2-3 secs before engaging reverse. my mates escort rs turbo was the worst, had to put it into second before putting it into first and if he selected reverse you would hear a lovely grinding noise followed by the exhaust shaking violetly...
