Nope some companies do sme don't some do when your older than 18 other 321 others 25 and some not at all. Very few do it for under 25's though. Also some places say the car has to be insured by someone else also when you leave the car on the public higway etc then sinre...
To do it properly should have used the Mk2 subframe (stiffer) and wishbones etc and fixed the suspension setup.
Plus they'd be an Audi engine in it at the front.
I'd say £8k is absolulty top price to pay for it though no more than that.
There not cheap to repair so you'd ant to kow if...
Best way to check is check the mesaurments form the center to cneter of the hubs/shock its 60mm on a cuped 182 and 54mm on a none all the other bits are and have been chnaged on other 182's in the past to make cars look like Cuped/non cuped 182's.
50k not to bad depends how its been driven...
Under Renault warently 1 year unlimited milgae.
However under the sale of goods act there asection stating all components sold should be suitable for the product and if dampers leak under 4 years and say 80k I'd say there unfit for purpose and so you use that.
Quite a few people have had them...
Takes about an hour to do rear disks
Stock stuff fine £165 from Yozzasport about the cheapest you'll get.
No point unupgrading the stuff its fine as is.
Halfords have stopped selling that stuff only place I know thats sells it now is demon Tweeks most people thing its out of production.
Comma stuff is supposed to be good never tried there bakes fluid. ANy decient fluid though should be good for a year.
5-40 or 10-40 doesn't realy matter the probelm is 10-40 "only" protects down to -20 degrees so if outside temsp will be lower the oil ins't protecting as its to thick.
I'd have no worries about using either. Renault say 5-40 as it will in theoery be better on the engine when its cold and best...
They always are high.
New clutch from gsf is £45 or so then its officialt 6.5hrs labout so a garge would charge a forutne you can do it quicker if ou want go to a cluthc changing specilist £250 all in cash I'd recon.
If it is the cluutch then DIY it on a 1.2 its not to difficult loads of space GSF etc there only cheap (£45). Then some new gearbox oil say £15.
Assuming the cars in good condition and working fien go for it.
182 seem to have a wiring problem with there temp sensors for some reason. Although there have been a number of bad sensors. If you have a fiddle with the wiring you can see the problem.
Fletch it will be affect the car just to such a small degree your not noticing.
I think thats the most sence we need to justify tunning cars.
Would you honestly spend £25k on a Clio though Ben given the choice? (assuming its not allowed to be a demo car etc just a private car). If so what wouyld you spend it on?
err its more usalt for the wear to be
Most wear
Front passenger
Front driver
Rear passenger
Rear driver
Least wear
Just have a look at the tyres yoursefl see if the wear is nice and even at the front thats all you can worry about as well as the pressure being right.
They are...
Check the wheel nuts as they ahve a tendancy to come loose.
But on older cars or ones with a few miles check the ball joints and top mount as well as ARB/Wishbone bushes for wear.
More than adequate I did loads of track days on them driving as hard as i could without issue the 150hp homogolised Williams used the same brakes so thats an idea how good they are. the cars overbrakes realy compare the brakes to other sporty cars ie SXI corsa and you'll see how oversized the...
