right to you 172 owners, just after the setup on the inlet plenum there is a small outlet pointing towards the back of the car, whats this for? vacuum for brake servo? just need someone to tell me where it goes

yeh i literally spent hours and hours over the past weeks messing about with it, cranked it over more times than i'd like to remember :eek:
but then as you say, only cost me the price of a multimeter to fix, and even then im not sure how exactly i fixed it lol

i honestly cant say what i did to fix it lol all i did was buy a multimeter, test that there was voltage to the ecu, then to the coil, and then whilst cranking it over to see if i had voltage to the coil under...

well today at roughly 11am frankenstein took its first breath.....

you can see my finger in the vacuum pipe as without that it revs of its own accord lol
chuffed is an understatement!! :approve: :D :approve: :D
the only good thing about it smelling like that is when you need to work out what type of oil is leaking on your drive, quick dip of the finger and a good sniff sorts that out
antifreeze in the mouth is another experience :dead: makes your lips tingle, and not in a good way :nono:
i'm still undecided on mine and i've already bought them!!! lmao
its not like they cost a fortune, put them on, then if you dont like them after a while take them off, thats my plan anyway :D

trial fitted the steering wheel today, then adjusted the column angle (stole the idea from burp :D) to suit my driving position
and spent the rest of the time trying to get it running, but still no luck, time to spend some money methinks :rolleyes:
i see a few sports around harrogate, but cos im in the 106 i dont bother flashing lol if you see a silver 106, lowered on 15" anthracite wheels and with a smooth tailgate give me a wave :D
and i'm sure it won't be long til my mk1 track car is driving about, but you wont be able to miss that :race:
