right lets see if anyone can help me further (burp your a prime candidate as your at home this afternoon ;) )
plug that comes off near the injector rail, has a 2 pin attachment - carbon canister?
small earth lead that comes off near the starter wires to the back of the engine, where is that...
just to clear up the one in the pic isnt mine mate, btw nice quick edit there lol ;)
mine is a 4 pin connector with 3 wires coming off the plug, so looks like that isnt my problem :(
edit: just seen burp's reply, absolutely spot on mate thats what i was after :D
right so now ive ruled that...
its a control module that runs things like lights, immobiliser, dash warning lights etc etc
anything that connects the cabin electronics to the engine bay electronics goes through the uch
however early phase1 clio's were not fitted with this :)
can someone with a ph1 (no uch, very important!!!) unplug the coil pack connector and firstly tell me how many pins are on the coil pack plug, then tell me how many wires are on the plug connector coming out of it
then can someone with a ph2 (or a ph1 with a uch) do the same?
much...
Re: My mk1 track car blog
well i had another day yesterday trying to get the car going, but still nothing, thinking it might be coill pack thats playing up (im just putting off decoding another ecu lol)
so thought i'd bleed my brakes as everything was all connected and ready to go, jacked the...
cant borrow ecu's due to the immobiliser code :(
thing is i have had my ecu decoded and an emulator fitted, tested it on a ph1 using uch and it ran that car. but theres not alot else i can think of :(
yeh tdc or cps as its otherwise known
nothing is happening, thats the whole problem lol just finsihed converting 172 engine into mk1 clio. cranking over but not firing. originally having a problem with fuel pump relay, as in it wouldnt close the circuit when cranking (the ecu is supposed to...
never done a clutch on an RS, but i hear people drop the subframe to get enough room without taking the box out completely, also saves renewing fluids if taking the engine out
well i wouldnt say its an engine out job, you just need to slide the gearbox out enough so you have room to replace the fork and bearing, however my engine was out of the car when i did mine, very easy when its sat on the floor :approve:
i wouldnt be so sure, its well documented that the sirius 32 ecu (if thats what you have) can be hit and miss when it comes to decoding!
you might have to get an emulator fitted if decoding alone doesnt work
well get this for a laugh, i bought the clutch fork and release bearing as a kit from renault, but then when they took the original out of the package the price stayed the same for just the fork!! then they charged me for the new bearing on top of that!!
ive written down £50 for clutch fork...
from what i can gather renault have replaced the original release bearing for a better quality one? as when i ordered a clutch fork and release bearing from them, the original bearing was removed from the packaging, and i had to order a new one (this happened twice by the way, and when the...
Re: My mk1 track car blog
aye white and blue is my theme, white wheels, white cage, white cup racer decals, white plenham and engine mount etc, white mirrors ;) all on the blue car :D
yeh things arent going too well at the moment :(
lmao if only the MOT tester saw it that way...
whilst on the topic of accelerator cables ;)
does your pedal seem quite stiff to operate beanie? mine seems to have a wee bit of restistance there. oh and can you get your pedal right to the floor? mine stops quite a way off! frightened of pushing too hard and snapping the cable :quiet:
Re: My mk1 track car blog
first of all i want to say a massive thankyou to paul at rstuning, spent valuable time fitting my ecu emulator today, thanks again mate :D
sadly though she still isnt a runner :( we know the ecu is good as we tried it on paul's clio, so now there must be something...
i think you know what im going to ask here
scuttle panel looks the dogs, where from, how much etc etc :D :approve:
i sprayed my arches the other day, the colour is considerably lighter than the original lmao, so im hoping it will darken with a few more coats :clown:
although...
