if you're wanting to spray it you can have mine for £30 posted? person before me painted the bits black, but suppose it doesnt matter if you're spraying it anyway?
i will be doing this, got mocal oil cooler with thermastatic sandwich plate, and got another sandwich plate with take off's for my oil temp and oil pressure senders.
not fitted it yet so cant comment on clearance, will be snug i imagine.
i got an extension bolt with my mocal cooler kit...
right basically the parts i have got are
25mm2 230 amp rated cable
100 amp circuit breaker
distribution block (not fused)
GRP battery box
safe enough? or am i going to fry? lol
time for a plumbed in fire extinguisher?
edit: i need a 100A fuse to go inline with the alternator dont i? then...

true, evouk is selling his ex clio cup racer for 6k, get alot of car for the money! but as you say, part of the fun is to build it yourself.
prob would have been easier to paint it first, but time was not on my side, just going to mask it off, prime and spray it...

tyres arrived this morning, thats what you call good service!
and another box of goodies arrived from merlin motorsport yesterday, can make some progress now i have some parts, just waiting on my GRP battery box
my GMC 4-1 manifold, wrapped by yours truly
and then sprayed with high temp paint, acts as a sealant aswell to stop water getting in and rusting the pipework

did you wet the wrap matt?
i did my 106 manifold, if you spray it with water (dont soak it) before applying it makes it much easier to work with, also dries tighter. mine has never come loose, only problem is that ive caught it on the ground a few times and it has torn in places. not a problem...

right got a bit more done on saturday, took the car next door for some more welding
we managed to get the inner part and the middle part of the sill done, riveted and welded the inner part, and then welded the middle part, stood on the floor and jumped up and down...

just want to say a massive massive thank you to Rob at DJW Signs, upon recommendation from someone on here (sorry cant remember who :o ) i had him make up some decals for the clio, and i am very impressed with the finished products, will definately be using him again...

progress came to a halt because of FCS this weekend, but hopefully this saturday the n/s sill will be getting the chop, so will get some overall pics, not alot more to show in the interior, had to take passenger seat and harness out for the welding that needs doing...

right got a bit more done yesterday, sparky came round and sorted the rear lights, all fused neatly on the drivers side
then another fuse holder on the passenger side along with a relay holder
and whilst he was sorting wires out i decided to tidy up the...
right, after searching and reading numerous threads i'm still not sure what i need to do this: (apologies for bringing it back up again :rolleyes: )
