can't believe the marshall didn't realise the driver was on fire!!! :quiet:
i've managed to find the perfect inspiration for the decals on my clio, hoping to get it looking like this
gotta be the easiest way to cover up rough bodywork
the ones i'm after are the large renaultsport.co.uk stickers seen here on the lower door
and then on the yellow 197 i wanted the roof stripe that carries on onto the bonnet and boot, and the sun strip, if you could get an idea on price that would be great :)

if so then......
FAIL! :rasp:
right just want to ask something here regarding the process you are going through to make these really.....
you get the original moulding, get some GENUINE carbon fibre sheet/fabric, lay it on (or fix it, whatever) and then laminate over the top of that
you're not using some cheap abs sheet...

wouldn't really know what 0-60 will be, and i'm not really interested to be brutally honest:o
how a car performs overall is much more important in my eyes :)
there's always the safer option to slamming on your brakes at 60....
lift the bonnet and have a look! trace the brake pipes out of the master cylinder and see if they go to an abs unit
not sure if this has already been answered but.....
does this only plug into the diagnostic connector in the car? is there another diagnostic port it can be connected to say on the engine loom?
ive cut it before, however the edges were not going to be visible so i didnt try my hardest to get a good finish
i asked the advice of the guy making the carbon fibre and he said to use masking tape on the area you are cutting to avoid chips and not to scratch the surface
he also said to use...
Re: My mk1 track car blog
cheers beanie :D you're encouragement has been a massive help throughout this build :approve:
i was a bit knocked back by the rust at first, but then realised that whatever project car i get its going to be a recurring theme, so no time like the present to learn how...
Re: My mk1 track car blog
no sadly not :( i've admitted defeat there
the annoying thing is i will be able to have it ready a couple of weeks after fcs, but with the extra rust on the n/s its just set me back in both time and money
plus it would only be going to fcs as a display car (no way...
Re: My mk1 track car blog
