The 5 pot engine not that small would be a tight fit in the Clio as its a wide engine. 290hp can be done with a VAG engine and a remap (use the big tiurbo 225/210 models though) thats a better root to go down as there more bits for it.

Usless you have different front ones don't bother with uprated rear ones. Bilstein do a replacment set for about £90 for the rears but Renault are about the same price by a few quid and I'd use stock Renault bilstein havn't impressed me I think stock are better.

I take it you mean both cars in swop coilovers to one and the dampers onto the other? Assuming you want a straight fit coilovers no ride height chnage etc I'd say 6 hours or so. The car with the coilovrs changing to dampers could go after about 3 hours. I'm slow and a perfectionish...

Its difficult o say if its warently or not as Warently wouldn't cover it however under the EU laws stating all products should be suitable for use and since it breaks so commonly then you could well argue its not fit for purpose. I'd just forget it buy another one not that much and fit it...
