Remove the cover from the light bit on the roof of the car ther a little motor which goes in therr to blow air over the sensor they can buzz. Only quite cheap and easy to change.

Its nothting to do with cams at 4kisbh the engine comes on cam in that the cams suddenmly becomes more effcinet cam advanace it at very low rpm and dies at high rpm 1.6k and 6k or so.

Probably means the temperature sensors failed/the wiring caught. The 182 sensors have failed a lot most lilly is the facty the wiring isn't very good have a look at it the sensors on the block over by the gearbox side.
