Yep, as EvilJohn said its happened to me. Quite frightening to have the whole car die at 60 mph.
Booked it into Renault the next day in the morning, got it back early afternoon washed and hoovered out. Nice!
They replaced the sensor and also had to clean all the plugs n stuff.
If it was the normal Cooper S Works (197 bhp) then there would be almost nothing between them as its got 7 bhp per tonne more; perhaps a slightly higher top speed?
The 210 bhp Cooper S Works would be slightly quicker, but it might not become apparent until over 60 mph since they have a...
I have titanium, i like silver as it hides scratches and chips plus its very low maintenance as it doesnt show dirt like the other colours do. It seems to compliment the anthracite wheels of the cup chassis.
However, I saw racing blue in the flesh last week and it does look gorgeous - i dunno...
Id just like to keep the cat (possible sports cat?); dont people have problems with the engine management light / exhaust gas warning light after a decat?
Wouldnt like that either.
I got my silver 182 with both cup options from Motorprovider for £12500 brand new.
The clio is coming to the end of its life in current guise, so i would expect you could haggle a fair bit.
Hmmm, ive only had the occasional knock in 1st/2nd gear (engine mount), not heard of a rear knock .... yet.
Does it happen over bumps, or is it a forward/backward motion (as in the engine mount knock)?
Comes down to opinion, the Focals are bright but you can tone it down with the crossover (variable levels depending on positions). I found the Genesis too warm and lacking in upper range you see, so you must prefer less treble ;).
Of all the other cars ive driven, the 182 (with cup chassis) has the most twitchy steering/ride over bumpy roads with tramlining on uneven cambers.
However, its also the best ride, the most communicative ride with precise feel that I know exactly whats going on under the car. I can feel if...
I dont have the slim ones, just the normal ones.
They fit "just", and i mean only just. It looks like when you hold them in the socket that they need a spacer, but when you screw them in with the gasket they sit flush - truly a ball hair in it.
The diamond white + blue stripes on the ST150 look absolutely stunning - they should have made a 182 in white available in the UK. Tuning options are starting to appear with a manifold alone http://www.rsstoc.com/forums/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=183returning a hike in power to 162 bhp...
Is a pro speed exhaust just a "nice custom stainless steel" affair, or is it an actually designed to give better performance when used in conjunction with other mods (or even on its own)?
...and sound absolutely amazing coupled with a 12" Vibe sub.
Totally blown away, I was sceptical as to how good they could actually be, but they are superb. Vocal reproduction is accurate and smooth, trebles are crisp but not harsh, the whole reproduction of music is so detailed in the mid...
The VRS shouldnt be underestimated; ive been saying for ages now that im very impressed by modern diesels and probably as an everyday drive itll be a lot more useable in and around town than the RS Clio. Clearly after a remap, it has excellent performance on a straight line sprint.
Lets see...
I terminated the finance on my old car instead of selling it. Was a fairly straight forward affair; I put it in writing and then they wrote back advising me of what documents I had to return with the car (log book, MOT cert, service manual etc). Theyve made their money on the car, so they just...
Driving home today, im coming round a roundabout and think "whats that..." .... "holy christ, its a Clio saloon!".
Yep, a Clio saloon waiting at the roundabout - the ugliest looking car ive ever seen. Didnt even know they made one; for another country I expect (probably native to France)?
Just because theyre self levelling doesnt mean theyre setup correctly from the factory.
I had the same problem with my 182; that the right hand headlight wasnt shining as far up the road as it should. Like you, motorway driving at night was dangerous as a result.
Ive got the pic from when...
I didnt mean for this to be a "does using optimax make a difference" thread, it was more of a "it says 98 RON recommended on the fuel cap, can you get away with normal 95 RON without it damaging the engine or causing other issues" thread.
Thats all :).
Had a look at that and its absolute overkill in terms of price and power for what im looking for.
Still, if youre looking for whopping bass in a slim profile, it certainly looks the best solution.
