Thats normal. Its an imobiliser fault. The tdc sensor will have nothing to do with it if the imobiliser light is on continually. The fuel pump wont prime when the imobiliser is armed.
If both keys wont work, its more than likely the decoder ring at fault.
Either key or decoder ring as said above. Have you tried the spare key?
The ring is around the ignition barrel and reads the code on the key to dissarm the imobiliser.
I know exaclty what your on about. The starter motor stops its self? Iv had a few people with the same problem. Sounds to me like an imobiliser problem. Does the imobiliser light go out?
As above. The repair on sports is to grind out the fouling area of the top struts. Renault dont recomend putting the expensive spacing washers on the sports for some reason.
Worn out pads is a possibility, dont rule them out because they were changed recently.
Were they fitted correctly?
Were they non genuine?
That would be my first surgestion.
Its deffinatly not right. I can tell you that now, It could be the aux belt tentioner roller the fixed roller on the aux belt. Or could be one of the 3 pulleys on the cambelt routing.
The first thing I would do is to remove the aux belt and run it without for a minit to see if the noise goes...
They can be adjusted with the white screws you are talking about. These adjust the up and down. But these have to be set up on a beam setter to be set at the right level.
Hope this helps!
