Theres two holes in the gearbox casing that the two tangs locate in. You will have too poke two small screwdrivers in there and pull. Its quite tricky.

Give it all a lube up and a clean up and wind the two rubber adjusting screws up on the slam panel to give it more lift when you pop it.

There isnt any plugs under the seats for abs, your thinking of airbags. ;)

JUst pulls off iirc. Get a screw driver behind it.

Check your cv boots :) The clips let go and go inbetween the reluctor ring and sensor and cause problems like you have.

Put your ear to the boot button and oporate the central locking. See if you can hear the solenoid working. If not, it will be that or wireing problem. Hope this helps

It might be seized in the support bearing though.

My moneys on broken wires behind the steering wheel (rotory coupler).

Aux belt and the bottom cambelt cover are the worst bits, the rest is easy.

You will have to test the wires with a testlight or muitimeter.

Probably what renault said, its the loom to the throttle body. Iv always tightened the pins on it and iv never had one come back.

All I know it isnt very big. Havnt a clue how much boost it develops but you can probably shop around and get a bigger one in the future.

Dissconect the battery for half hour if I were you before doing any work. Look under the seat on the passenger side and you will see a grey connector with a blue and brown wire. Just cut them out of the connector one by one and solder them together and insulate with heatshrink. When done...
