I need to decide which tyres to use on my new wheels. They'll be used as daily tyres and then on track at brands in march.
I know Hankook's are said to be good on track but how do rainsports fare?
The wheels are being delivered to me with tyres, rainsports are +£60 and v12's are
+£100...
I'm taking delivery of my new wheels on Friday and would really like some coilovers as they're 15's.
So, would anybody like to swap (with money your way) their coilovers for my cup shocks and eibach sportline springs?
Rear shocks were new2 months ago, <1000 miles.
Fronts are older, but...
I rang flux to get a quote for my cup... £2800!!!!!
Granted, I'm 21 and so is the missus, but I've got 2years NCB and she has 4.
Admiral insured me for £790!
You're way overcomplicating it.
- buy hammerite (brush or spray)
- brush the crap off with a wire brush and solvent cleaner.
- mask other bits
- spray.
Eibach sportlines if you're on a budget, or apex if you don't particularly value your spine.
If you've got more pennies to spend, get some coilovers, ktec, Vmaxx, rokkor etc. You'll get a much better result.
Get one decent quality 10'' sub and build a stealth enclosure. Will take up next to no space in the boot and sound great. Something like 10'' jl audio would get my money.
- 35/40mpg if you treat it nice, mid to high 20's if you've got a heavy foot.
- tyres are ok if you know where to shop. £55 or so for rainsports or Hankook's, both very good.
- tyres, completely dependant on how you drive. I wouldn't say less than 8000 miles though.
- servicing isn't bad at...

The braids aren't on there unfortunately, but useful anyway.
