If I can get it down to 900kg, I'll have the same power/weight ratio as a lamborghini gallardo
Fletcher, I've seen mixed reviews about the willwood, haven't seen any on the compbrake though. Do you have any clue on price? Or where I can find out.... Having a separate rotor is definitely...
Brown bear, I've seen that written a lot about the rs2's, which is why I've decided to sell the turinis and use the ultra's full time. I figured, as you say, massive grip is less fun and also makes it more likely to push that bit too far and up on the grass or worse. I'm much more interested in...
These are going to be my every day wheels, so for the time being, I'm going to have to go with Hankook's. As soon as I get a second car, I'll change them.
I'm inclined to agree about brakes tbh, as long as you've got enough power to lock the wheels, then what more do you need? I'll invest in...
I've just spent £700 buying ultraleggera's. Lol.
If you account for unsprung weight making 4x as much difference as sprung weight (disputed rule of thumb) they will save me 72kg.
Are there any other manufacturers that make 4 pots that are slim enough to fit under my wheels though?
The thread from jam-sport, although written a while ago now, seems to suggest they are the first to offer such a set-up?
Brown bear / recaro182, have either of you had experience with kw's...
I've also just thought... I'm going to have trouble fitting most four pots under 15'' ultraleg's aren't I.... Im thinking jam-sports willwood setup is going to be the way forward. I've posted on the thread to see if they'll fit so I'll hope for the best!
Lol. Sounds perfect :)
I'm sold. But I think I'll buy the 4 pots first if it will be ok on standard for the time being... Thanks folks!
So now I need help with brakes! Best vfm 4 pots?
I know Brembo are expensive, £795 is the cheapest I found on a brief google visit.
How do apracing, willwood...
I'll be doing this as well, but perhaps I'll prioritise this over coilies.
So everyone thinks it will be ok on standard shocks? They've all been replaced in the last 1000miles anyway....
No I'm not fussed about lap times really. I won't be competing in it, just track days. It's all just for the fun of doing it really.
That would be very helpful mate, give me a comparison at least. I don't suppose you have an ARB do you?
Really? So am I better off putting money into Uprated shocks and saving my £500 then?
Or perhaps just hold fire for some second hand ones to pop up?
I assumed they'd be essential with the power...
I was initially planning on buying a second, low mile engine and doing the supercharger conversion myself, so the standard 240hp or so.... But danny's engine came up for sale with forged internals, running 326hp. So I thought I may as well save myself some time and money and go for it.
I'll...
