Just drive well within your limits, always being aware of your surroundings (esp bikes).
If you're sensible, it's no more dangerous than a UK trackday IMO.
Just a top dash removal. Can be installed in 30mins.
Saying that, iPods are the best option. You can get an aux adapter for the standard HU for around £30.
CD changer was standard fit on the Ph1 (they had a cassette head unit lol). It became optional during production of the Ph2.
They come up for sale on here occasionally for around £50. You need the changer, and the cable... I just sold both for £20.
You went the weekend just gone?
I would have soooo been up for going, did f**k all this weekend and at one point thought to myself 'I could have taken the derv to the 'ring.
When I enquired I was told 5000 miles a year. That was on an old '50s VW Camper.
I wouldn't class a '90s Eunos as a classic car, just get a standard policy on it?
Spent today taking the dashboard apart, and discovered that its all one piece making it a f**king nightmare. However, the glove box come out as a whole in 1 go, which was fine for what I wanted to do.
The only thing missing off the spec list I wanted was a CD changer, but they're stupid money...
I've literally just got in from fitting the Connects2 kit into my Audi. Simple install, but you'll want to get a longer Phono cable, the one that comes with it is about 12inches long.
Oh, and don't always assume a decent garage will do it as part of the belt change automatically. My belts were done at K-tec and the pulley clearly wasn't checked at the time.
If you don't ask you don't get!
the dephaser is around £130, add onto that the £400 to do both belts again...
I ended up trading in the car, I was f**ked if I was paying another £500odd after forking out for the belts to be done 2 months prior.
bottom pulley on the cambelt. It doesn't come as part of the kit so usually gets missed... and can usually go shortly after a cambelt change.
You'll have to pay to get both belts done again if it goes, so best to ask for it to be done at the same time. I didn't, and mine went 2 months after...
