    Thanx - Nick!

OH right!! Yeah thats my anonymous advice service... Lama sensor shouldnt cost much to sort out. Get one from Andyspares, and then replace it yourself if you can get it up in the air.

Can anyone help a girlie in need of advice on wheels

Yeah but Chuckie, you *know* if you put 16s on youre gonna regret it the next day and wonder why you didnt go for 17s. 17s will go straight on, you might just need to take the sh*tguards out. As long as you get near to the 36mm offset you need and stick with a 205/40/17 profile you cant go...

Calling the Taste Police - opinions required...

Yeah go for it. Draw the line at the chequerboard patterning though. Youll have to get them made up yourself though. Is it my imagination or has the yellow one got a www.cliosport.net sunstrip on it?

small poll... would you buy a cup.. if...

Well I think youre all wrong! Instead of spending 11 grand or whatever it is on a Cup or a 172, heres a plan - spend 5 or 6 grand on an absolutely mint Williams (without sunroof), lower it and change over to poly bushes (£500), rebuild the engine to take a high pressure turbo (£4000) and put...

    Need 2 know

Well either post on the wanted forum or try a Renault scrappy.

    Lowering

Yeah you can cut the springs. But you can get a proper set of lowering springs for £50 anyway then you just need to adjust the torsion bar at the rear - on an old Clio anyway.

    What do you reckon

you know Im never gonna agree with you on ram air Joe, so admit youre wrong! Anyway after a lot of hard work, money and time, I have a Clio thats quick enough even without gas to cane most things on the road quite effortlessly. The gas is just an added bonus to take on the expensive...

    what makes you happier

Z2 always. Just like Mike said, I saw it as a building block and with all the mods Ive done, I would have had to bin the whole system anyway. Plus its a Magnex so I can be sure that I will *never* need to replace any exhaust components again. Z1 is for the beginner mate, Im surprise youre even...

    A sound spanking

yeah thats the thing, they always launch so well, but once thats out of the way, off a rolling start, a lot of people with fastish cars, are surprised by how little there is in it. Not saying I could keep up with an RB5 for a serious amount of time, but as for short sprints up to 70 or 80...

    What a mesh

Took a while before I got what you were on about mate! I actually always thought the silencers showing looked a bit ropey. Mesh em out!

    post your york RWYB times

I might go for some testing out on my private facility later on tonight. You reckon that fancy program of yours can predict 1/4 mile ETs from 0-100 or Autocar style 30-70 through the gears?

    2.0 Fiesta v’s Williams

hehe yeah French build quality isnt crap...but then again in a Clio youre motoring in style, something which no Fiesta ever built will have... BTW Wongy take note!

Running mains equipment in a car

OK I probably need some advice from the ICE masters who install fish tanks and fridges in their cars. Anyway I dont wanna pay NOS £150 for a heater jacket for my nitrous bottle, when I can pick up a 30 C reptile tank heater mat from the pet shop for under a tenner. All I need to know is what...

    What do you reckon

BTW if you just what a lot of power for not much money then go for nitrous. Thoroughly recommended and unlike other tuning methods, doesnt need any engine work.

    What do you reckon

Not much of a carb expert myself...but selling up and getting a valver seems a better bet. Or just saving until you can afford to do the job properly.

hehe worth a try though Phil. If you dont try you never know! Tried it myself on a Scooby RB5 a couple of months back. Stopped for a chat and the geezer was pretty surprised that I kept up with him...

What todo with £150 for modding

Definitely get it dropped Ivan. 35mm will do nicely although I dont know if you can get -35mm springs off the shelf. Get some better shocks later. Alternatively, for 150 notes you could get LED washer jets, a Motorsport sunstrip, Viper stripes, LED valve caps, and a stick-on bonnet vent.

Joe already knows about it, but for anyone else whos been follwing the thread here about my missing power; Ive found it. Wiring problem when I rewired the system to run the progressive controller - and because I dont know anyone else with nitrous and a controller, I didnt know that there was a...
