People never want to race me, or if they do they give up almost straight away and drop right back, pretending that they werent racing in the first place!
Well first car I drove was a D-reg 1.0 Popular Fiesta. Not even a demister as standard but a tough little motor. First car I actually bought with my own money was a 1.4 RT Clio. Then I got the 16v.
hehe worth a try though Phil. If you dont try you never know!
Tried it myself on a Scooby RB5 a couple of months back. Stopped for a chat and the geezer was pretty surprised that I kept up with him...
Definitely get it dropped Ivan. 35mm will do nicely although I dont know if you can get -35mm springs off the shelf. Get some better shocks later.
Alternatively, for 150 notes you could get LED washer jets, a Motorsport sunstrip, Viper stripes, LED valve caps, and a stick-on bonnet vent.
Joe already knows about it, but for anyone else whos been follwing the thread here about my missing power; Ive found it. Wiring problem when I rewired the system to run the progressive controller - and because I dont know anyone else with nitrous and a controller, I didnt know that there was a...

Well I drive the wifes Beetle with no radio, no air con, no ABS, no power steering, no electric windows, one speed wipers, no heating and until very recently, no demister. And its bloody good fun to drive I reckon, even if it is slow.
I guess it depends on what you want from a car...Ive never...

I use 15w50 Mobil 1 Motorsport. Works perfectly although 16v are always noisy - make sure its not the injectors youre hearing.
Phase 2 clusters will fit but you may need to do the underneath bit.
For a door rubber, go to a Renault scrappy and get one for a fiver. Renault rubbers are well...

Yeah itll go straight in, the one from the 1.9 TD. Only one problem though, theres no speedo output! The Williams box has this output.
A brand new Willy box is £500 roughly from Renault anyway.
Its as official as you can get - a doumented properly timed ET which should be on the York Dragway website by now.
If theres a 1.8 16v out there thats quicker then ...BRING IT ON!
Starter problems are sometimes down to heat getting into the starter motor after youve driven for a while. Dont know whether it applies to you. If it does it on cold starts then you can eliminate heat problems at least.
Dont know about imperial measures, thats like going through a hundred year timewarp for me! Anyway my car has a kerb weight of about 985kg, then when you add myself as well that takes it up to probably 1075kg.
155bhp at the wheels isnt too shabby though...ive been fiddling with the wiring of...
Theyve really tightened up lately - basically you cannot have anything except the standard font, standard size, standard spacing and the option of a Euro flag with the GB letters on the side. Nothing else is allowed, its as simple as that AFAIK.
The maker of the plate has to have their...
Im normally cynical about these kind of things but to me there appear to be two reasons why the Cup was put on sale:
1 - There is a huge and growing track day scene in the UK. Many track day drivers have a garage full of the latest Evo-recommended drivers cars to play with and the Cup is a...

BTW if you want aftermarket wheels, thats a weird offset but a lot of Vauxhalls run a high offset 40 something. The only problem will be getting the right PCD which should be 4x100.
