AFAIK, JR arent exactly rated in the world of filter elements. Its basically the same as Green and K&N. A PBV is just a stupid go faster name for an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, whichi does nothing to effect the atomisation of fuel. An ecotek does effect this however.

Kev, PBV is a bit more serious than just changing the filter element. Id say you do need to declare it to the insurance really cos youll be changing the layout of your fuel lines. It can help to iron out fuelling problems and once you start to get into serious mods its pretty much essential...

Like Ben says it can be done. Its pretty boring but you just follow the usual route - induction, exhaust, decat, chip, power boost valve, ecotek, fast road cams, head work. And then youll see probably another 30bhp tops. Or spend under a grand on buying and fitting a 50bhp nitrous kit.

The brake pedal will firm up if you give it a few pushes, the accelerator and clutch just stuff a block of wood behind them or hold them. Only the accelerator is troublesome. The other two pedals can be drilled through the plastic part.

Err its somewhere between 2.5 and 3 inches, I usually just try different bits of pipe until one fits 60-70mm is about right. Leave the sh*tguard on you only need to take it off when you do the plumbing, after that put it back on again.

The key to the power of the cup cars is the custom engine management and thats it. Its not some black magic with the exhaust and filter. Anyone can get the same results on the inlet and exhaust, its the custom mapping that squeezes every last hp out of it. And to be honest IMHO the same results...

Magnex are the nuts, top quality gear, and not too loud and stupid.

If you get nitrous it wont effect your warranty cos it can be removed in half an hour. As long as you have an air pipe between the airbox and the throttle body that is, just get a spare on from a scrappy and you can plumb in the nitrous/fuel injector into the air pipe.

Good points Ben, in F1 didnt they used to channel the exhaust into the venturi tunnel or something so by flooring it youd get more ground effect by lowering the air pressure even more than usual? Then if you let off the throttle in the middle of a corner suddenly the back end would lighten up...
