Dark wheels shows the car had he Cup suspension pack which hardened up the ride a bit. However you need to check the original form if you realy want a Cup packed car since its easier to sell on as most people demand it and it very difficult to refit. Some people had there wheels swoped but...
172 phase 1 save yourself the thick end of £11k ok it will caost a bit more to run maybe and losse £1.5k in deprecaition so you'll loose £3k over a 197 but the 192 will depecait 7k in the same time. Save the £4k+ interest and have a lot of hols etc.
Forget the 1.4/1.6 to much work for such little gains. I can make a list of what you need but its a long lone Matt seels the 172 conversiosn for £1.5k+vat then £500 to £1k to fit it then say £300 for new clutch etc.
Much better buying a old 172 IMO you can get thm for £3k.
Then again I...
If busget no issu them Leda but thats serious money £1.3k then you'd be worth changing all the ball joint top mounts streaing rack stearing arm wishbones etc to make it worth while in whciah case might as well upgrade to the Williams setup which would cost about £700 extra.
Nothing wrong with stock.
Martin Yep there stock spec dirst cheap if you buy them in 195/50/15 instead of 185/55/15 I think I paid £38 or so a corner reciently. Only problem is you wear the rear arch liner a bit.
I don't see the problem its expensive then agin list price on the old 182 was £14.7k and with Cup packs it took it to £15.1k. The Cup 182 was £13.8k so infact the car over 2 years hasn't gone up in price much
It is like saying a part can be 5mm long but so long as it between 3 and 6 its acceptable. Its just there so that you know what will fit together as the desinged intended.
You should have asked for the wheel bolt kit £50 for all new studs so that 12 normal and 4 locking ones with 2 keys.
Plus they come in a nice little case.
OBD test? The only test on the MOT is emmisions and having the sneor doesn't make any difference having a decat can fail the emmisions regardless of the second sensor.
It all depends what your after SNAp on is supposed to be superb almost full Renault Cip software for £3k (about €4.5k) then there stuff from ebay for £150 or so which can just clear the fault logs.
Full Renault CLip is about £5k I think but few people have ever paid for them.
They can be set off easily BMW's suffered a load blowing out for a bit.
Nothing much you can do try claim on insurance.
If its a Clio and you want to do it properly then get a new seat back and airbag also airbag computer fitted from Renault. Some other manurfacture can just rest the airbag...
Yep £6k list price and not usuable every day as there a bit of a apin plus no one has ever as far as i known tried to live with a Cup racer on the road day to day so gearbox life is unclear you might need a rebult ever year or so.
However if you shop round you might pick up a used 6 speed box...
Its only the short circuit and I've only just got round to finding it and uploading so here you are.
Similar lap times to the Cup race cars only difference is they do the long circuit.

if you want it for track days then sort the suspension brakes and gearbox first IMO. Get a used Cup racer and road legal it.
Matts car is very quick straight line and not bad on the bends but at the end of the day you'd be better spending the money on suspension and brakes and some normal...
