I will try my best. Just got a few bits to finish off and would need to find a way to get the car there.
Seats etc are all ordered, just need to make some cage tweaks and find an exhaust that isn't 118dB ?
That's not unusual though. Most OEMs will use aftermarket suppliers for that sort of thing. However, it's all done to a cost. Having worked in the business, and knowing others who do, even some of the most premium car makers don't have the greatest understanding of choosing the best...
I was amazed at how agile my old ST220 felt. Once you were making progress, even down tiny little lanes, it never felt like the big car it was. It was a really confidence inspiring car. There are roads that I would drive that down way faster than I would have the balls to drive my Clio...
I spent a few months driving a cooking model FN Civic and the ride was shockingly bad. Can't imagine what the Type-R is like. It's a shame. Part of me quite likes them, but I don't think I could buy one over some of its rivals. I know people love NA, but it would just do my head in for a daily...
I went about ten years ago. Have wondered about going again, but it seems to be turning into more of a motor show for OEMs, rather than a haven for old race cars, so not so sure. All I remember from last time I went is that it was a bloody long walk to the top of the hill...
Doesn't surprise me. A friend sold a broken Daihatsu Sportrak to a guy from Eastern Europe who paid a company to collect it. About ten years ago, I bought a Sierra for £500, hated it, put it up for sale and a guy from Ireland paid £850 for it within a couple of weeks, having never set eyes on...
Looks great now. A change of wheels and new steering wheel will finish it off perfectly.
I really would like something like this at some point. It's an itch I need to scratch.
You have to dress like a tool on a bike as well. And I like listening to the radio. And shouting at people on bikes. Can't shout at them so much if you're one of them.
Not before me lol. For me, part of the RS mystique is the screaming normally aspirated engine. I think the rear bumper/diffuser on the GT2 is a little awkward compared to the GT3 too.
Both stunning cars though and the stuff of dreams really.
@NorthloopCup is bang on. Not using a car is a great way to hurt your enthusiasm for it.
I went through a phase of changing cars all the time but don't so much now. Buying and selling cars annoys me now, as it can be a lot of hassle.
The Clio was a big change for me. Would keep that forever...
Nothing wrong with stickers:
Think they do need to be planned though. I ended up having most of mine custom made as a lot of the stuff you can buy online is quite small so doesn't work too well. Saying that, eBay seems to have a decent amount of stripe kits etc, so I think you could...
Yeah 850R manual is the one I would go for. Bigger turbo and diff make it the winner for me. The interior is nicer too I think. The leather/suede combo is the wrong way round in a T-5R.
@Daniel if you ever want to sell the 850R, do let me know.
I had a black T-5 CD that had all the R bits on it. One of my favourites, always regret selling it.
Even at WRC level, most drivers wear open face helmets. They have some pretty f**king monstrous accidents and their faces don't get cut or bruised to s**t. Yes the rest of the car has been designed to withstand the impact, but the chances of a facial injury are very low. I would say the same is...
