retro fitting air con

Im definitely gonna do this. I know your gonna say its not worth it etc etc etc. but providing i can get my hands on the parts cheap enough then it will be a nice project. what parts are there and im just going to fit manual aircon, not climate., will i need the ECU reprogrammed?

You like challange I like that.
For starters you'd need
New aux belt with associated pump for the gas.
controls for the car.
ECU changing or least Renault changing the software so it knows aicon is present so it increases rpm when necessary. or you need to bodge this the compressor cuts out when the car starts and at high rpm so you could make a switch and do it manaul. You could wire it up with a PICchip etc to fuge this though if you wanted.

Interier panel bit.
Wiring looms

List price for parts is probably pushing £2k.

righty then. Its all ok except for wiring looms, where do i stand with that. im a decent handy man but not amazing when it comes to electrics. Is there going to be a lot of splicing wires involved etc? Can mike at rentech do the programming with his reno computer? will i need the engine out? i assume all the mounting points for condensor etc are there as its an option. I think i can get hold of these parts for about 500 quid.
