    On my old Mk1 the realy realy week horn plus the fact It was to expensive to innsure and if I'd used i ever day i'd be in the poor house with no licence. On the Mk2 its the dampers going soft after 63k the seats being useless and more importantly the lack of feedback.

    They don't do anyhting on the 172/182s either my rear wheels get covered in what looks like brake dust and its got drums. the rear pads are tiny and when they last as long as they do compared to the huge front ones you realise they do about one twententy of the braking if that.

    Yep williams suspension is a lot of bits bst change the engine to a 1.8 otherwsie you'll need to have custom driveshafts made up. (williams ones are longer so they won't fit your gearbox but they do fit a Williams or 1.8 engine gearbox).

    Don't bother with power. The focus do handle well that will give him a serous ege. Best way it to go to a god track so ou cna both drive quicker and safer than you do on road. Spend the money on coilover set up propely then some very sticky road tyres and then if you want strip the car...

    rsi and valver front brakes the same????

    Rsi use the 239mm disks the Valver/Williams use the 259mm diks plus different calipers. Its a bolt on modification though if you want to just need all the caliper brackets to amke them fit your car.

    Just get a new engine if the belts gone then the valves are likly to be broken its not worth even taking the head off to check IMO.

    Thats twin engine turbo Nova kees breaking drive shafts which won't help it. Straight 6 from a Supra wuld be difficult its not a small engine plus with the gearboxyou'd need to put the engine at the front. A Mitsubishi/Suburu engine might be a better idea its smaller plus tunning bits exist.

The siple way would be to get another crashed 172 or 182 the whole car and then cut the whole rear of the car out make a strong metal framework and bolt the engine/gearbox and subframe to it then attach the strue etc to...

    I have to say the amount of people who recognise what it is or know something about the car even if its wrong ie arn't they 1.8's or arn't they raing cars etc is amazing even the local what you might call Chavs know what the ca is.

    Thats the simple guide for the Aux belt on Clios, The cambelt on Clio only drives the cams, the Aux belt driver all the pumps and alternators etc.

    Yep it will fit its a stronger box it got longer ratios though so it will get to higher speeds in gear but accelerate a bit slow its only marginal realy though.

    Brake upgrade on 172

    Thats expensive I wouldn't pay that much they should be good but thats expensive get some d2500's is the best value upgrade then some decient fluid and some new braided lines. That 4 pot setups serious money I'd get the WIllworrds with stock disk first the'll be much cheaper.

    I don't belive them as no other mapping compnay have done 9hp top end with just a remap. Ok there will be some freaky engine Chris and Nics for example and maybe Yozzas which might have done as its a strong engines but fe other ever made. Diesels are different they run under fueled as diesel...

    whats the difference

    1.6 Dynamique none+ are quite rare. The + had electric sunroof and aircon as standard. Its no real different the sunroofs on both are useless and the aircon nothing amazing plus some dynamiques had air con added as an optional extra.

    Going to see a 172 Cup on sat...

    SO long as the damge is where he says it might be god value. But so many Cups have crashed it amazing there any left. Check that the front suspension wasn't chnaged due to the crashed some of them swopped ends on the limit so whilst it might be back end damage the front supension maybe bent...
