Renault stanard plugs are about the best you'll get and last 72k many tuned car suse these as upgraded plugs.
Renault plugs are good hence why there £20 each.
There wrong the old service file said it had to be checked at 36k and changed with the cambelt. However new rules due to the amount which failed and Renault had to pay for means that it should be changed ever 36k.
Well sort of yes, a rally car will usiny be rally spec ie suspension cage etc and do very low milage if you ring and say you do 12k a year with no cage etc they may charge a bit you'd have to ring round.
Sounds like you may have got some water in the wiring looms.
I go throught bumps quickly ever 6 month for stock ones but thats only the headlight ones.
A few more pounds pressure in the tyre it does dependsome people don't like it but depending on your driving style it will preseve the side walls.
A stock cars fine on track I take my car which is standard on track all the time and its no problem ok its down on power but there not much I can do...
You maybe surpised give a load of them a call depending on your milage you may find you can insure it as a rally/race car very cheap.
The insurance company details are inputted from new you canot update them. The only reason the DVLA need to know is for froad tax and for your log book to be...
You need to get the suspesion adjsuted then to how you drive my car setup to the manurfacturer recomendation and its always wearing the outside of the tyre.
It depends all insurance companies are different. Some charge you a % increase based on % increase in power so 75 to 110 is 47% increase so 47% more premium. Others charge a fixed rate. You need to check only the specialist companies usualy insure this type of modification.
Easy to change the log book just fill in your V5 with the new engine details send it off and they'll amend there records.
You'll have to tell insurance companies though as your cars original spec was a 1.2 not a 1.6 there no way round this.
Tunning the 1.6 isn't cheap but there are bit out there.
There something fun about keeping your car and modifying its not costs effective thouhg.
I need to blow my engine up to do this conversion though I think even then I'd probably get Renault to stick another replacment one in.
ANother thing to think about is when you do the swop you should have...
Fred what up with you you've not been reading your price lists recinetly? Renault make 3, 2.0 engine ones the manul 6 speed with your gearbox (I think) one has an auto box and the last is the turbo engined version.
I'd say 2.0 as i'd like a bit more go the 1.6 isn't massivly quick when you load...
I take it your don't have any aircon at present? if so forget it the cost huge even if you get almost free bits its a lot of effort.
If you have aircon already then still forget it its a pain to do just not quite as bad as most the stuffs there.
I was thinking that running at higher rpm etc you'd help clean the injectors.
My maing thinkign on the pressrue was my diesel perssure doesn't get up till about 2k.
60~70kgs maybe.
There a load of weight which can be removed depends hwo dedicated you are for example
Remove all excess metal material around the door so its just litrally a sheet of metal.
Rmeove the second horn (you only need one)
Lightweight battery
Remove the jack and ay other...
There two feed lines to the dashboard on your car one straight from the coolent temperature sensor and one from the ECU to the the dashboard if yuo cars fan's working etc ok then I'd say its the line which goes from the sensor to the dashboard you'll have to check it the whole lenght to find out...
Yep worth giving them a killing ever now and again clean out the exhuats also get the fuel pressure up to blow out and deposites etc.
I'd say up to temp plus 5 mins or so modern Clio don't have oil temperature gauges but the Mk1's did and it toook about the same amount of time for the oil as...
You can buy it from Renault its not cheap though like most V6 unique bits plus getting the gaiter to work maybe trouble as the V6 gearbox selectors different.
If enought got in it could cease the engine up but you'd need to get a fair bit in I'me never heard of it unless you drive thoguth deep pudedls with low mounted air intakes.
I atke it your on about the Mk1 one as they did a Mk2 phase 1 in RSI spec but there very rare.
If your ona bout the Mk1 or 2 there both 110hp from memory if its a Mk1 though you'll find it will make more like 100hp or so you'd need to refresh the engine to make 110hp age takes it tole...
