Modified suspension.
Or drop a 2.0 engine in and when you work out the cost buying a proper 172 works out better value.
Suspension makes the biggst difference than any money spent on power.
The fluid level goes down the more the pads are worn. The system not amazing though but I'd say best cheak your pads and chnage them if required it only takes 40 minutes or so and new halfords pads are £17.
Depending how you drive but I'd change the pads (and disk if they have a lip on them)...
Can you not get the extended warently or is your car outside normal warently period now?
I'd check the values but you cna have the 72k done for a reasonable price but a £2k difference is good value so long as you get a good one.
Ha Ha always the best for you to much dedication.
I don't like cleaning the car even week (or ever few months) therfore I like pads/disk which are easy on wheels and paint.
A Mk2 why would I want a slow car though my Mk1 gets round any track faster than my Mk2 ;-). Mk3's the way forward I...
I know you Evogone yep and I know you can and do drive the car hard so don't take this the wrong way.
However I'm lazy. How long do 2500's disk and pads last on track etc use? I did a pad change on the Williams as I thought that might have been the cause of my recient braking issues (fixed...
I've not looked at them I can only recomend what I've used unfortunatly.
Hopefully at the dinner on Sunday I'll try get some comparision of people with normal vs the bulbs in my car.
Since the rubber inserts in the top mounts can be changed you just need that part to be made in a mold out of a stiffer material.
I'm no production cost enginner (or whover does that sort of stuff) but I'm sure it wouldn't be that much.
Have a look here
No reason to avoid dealers I'd be tempted to go there every time there are bad and good one sbut least you'vbe a better knowedge that they may know what there on about.
GDi or Rentech owners are both members on here and have superb prodct knowedge and i'd personally go there...
Its better than the stock one but there a bit more vibration in the car at idle.
Depending how bad it it might be badly adjusted mounted you need to ensure the mounts are ll adjusted as the engine moves over time and abuse.
The dci 65 already has a turbo (unintercooled though) and runs 1.1 or so bar boost (with spikes it difficult to know) which if you talk to any knowegable petrol head is massive boost. The turbos good for 1.5bar boost accoring to the manurfacturer (KKK) which is huge to put it in prespective the...
You can get a semi auto 172/182 conversion one which will oprate the clutch without needing a clutch pedal its not a cheap conversion though and its not a true auto as you still have to change gear.
Not much. You need to drill the mounting holes out a bit more 2 or 4mm from memory. (assuming you've got cup suspension packs if you havn't then 172 coilovers are a direct fit).
I think you can pick them up from 2 modified on here for £550.
Its part of the 72k service so Renault want about £600 for a service and belt change however they also say you should have the coolent changed and the brake fluid chnaged which is another £100 or so.
A Renault specialist could do it for under £500.
I'm not sure but I think Yozza only had then in the car at the track so they were the ones which went on.
Dave has a 182 Cup, the reason his brakes failed was probably down to the fact that there was no brake bleeder at the track day and the fluid was probably cooked anyway.
These pads and the...
