The stock dynamic offset is 42 I think (my alloys aare a bit dirty so cannot be totaly sure.
I think Fred recons 37 is the optimum offset.
Bigger offset the further in the wheel is.
Stan fitted one but it wasnt easy the Megan engine is different than the Williams one.
The Megan 2.0 uses 280mm disks same as the 172 though the Valver/Williams etc use 259mm disks the calipers are different.
Blimy that a big difference that box and wheels must realy be takiong some power up there.
I always used to use the 10hp +10% rule bu since this has been RRd and done on a dyno.
30% or so losses though if that box wasnt good to start with I wonder low long its going to survive at that power...
I dont see them getting those gains from there stuff.
Remap maybe 3hp on a stock engine.
There 192 pack doesnt sound to unreasonable though but dont forget the engine 176hp stock though.
I dont see there 202 package being belivable though the manifold need work to get there plus others on...
Id recomend using the Chester dealership there much better.
72k for spark plugs yep, there long life and at £80 for a set you wouldnt want them changing often.
Car should be serviced ever 12k/12 months whichever is first.
New 182s are 12k/ 2yrs I think.
Service depends what milage realy.
Ive chnaged mine on the WIllaims and its no different.
Only time it got
Better was when I went for a performace clutch back to standard as the standard one is ligther.
I dont want to join on the have a go at you band wageon but you wont get 180hp from that list. Mine got a 2.0 block with 7.2k redline, 270 cams and a better exhaust manifold and its just getting 180hp. Tom_16V had a similar list of mods and he has/had spent a fortune on his car and only got...
Thats Renault for you.
The Golf has a hydrolic clucth although that shouldnt have much bearing unless its assisted.
Id guess one reason is the clutchs arnt huge so they need good strong springs so you need a load of force to seperate them.
Depends what you deem as a bulk standard service.
Oil change and filter chaage, air filter change are what i deem a minor service ever 6k in a Mk1s case.
Check brake pads and fluid level etc would also be included in a normal service.
Unplug the black wire from the seatbelt plugs.
However I wouldnt recomend you do this at all it might invalidate your insurance (you might be able to flaim it fell off though). Also if you have an accident and your not belted in the car things you are so the airbags operate differently so you...
The brake servo pipe is routed round the back of the exhaust manifold cover 9the silver bit at the back of the photo).
You wont get any more power or mpg with one though.
The factory has stopped making normal 182s theres 250 Trophys to make but thats it.
There 83 left but thats probably stock which needs to be delivered/ sitting in a dock in a variety of specifications. Dealers have some as they buy them without customers and then wait till they have them...
It would be very messy if youd damaged the passengers side.
You can buy new gaiters from Renault there £10 or so I think but they were a pain to stretch to my car however smaller engine cars should be easier to fit.
A whole new drive shaft isnt that much often Id personally get a new one...

You should be able to sell it for £1.5k with your cars engine in it.
Im tempted to buy it and just take...
Ring Renault specialist breakers and ask for matt he should be able to sort you out. Id think a whole new seat is the better option plus you will probably need a new airbag module (if you dont have an airbag warning light then you might not).
Give Renault Uk a call Ive heard of this happening...
What about buying the £3k turbo 16V somoen hs up for sale at the moment.
Take the engine out and swop it for yours or better still whilst the engines out swop the bottom end for a 2.0.
I thourght that that twin engined R5 had a fortune spend on stuff other than the conversion?
Im after a sat nav system which will work both in tthe UK and abroad and with the ability to know where speed cameras traps are.
As far as I can see the tom tom 500 is the best value option from http://www.ebuyer.co.uk/www.ebuyer.co.uk for £452.
Does anyone else have any recomendation and...
Twin engined?
Get a rear ended car and swop all the bits over run two seperate ECUs use threaded bars to fix the stearing at the back.
Assuming labour is free and a whole car is £500 (rusted arches etc wont matter) sell the bits from inside the car for two hundred maybe and you could get it...
