Im interested in lowering my WIlliams as far as possible its only used for track work so there no huge problem there.
Im guessing the lower I go the better the cornering speed due to weight transfere?
At the moment my Gaz coilovers mean that my car catches on the bumper and front wings on...
Ive got those seats in my car and all I can say is there very uncumfortable You can as Ive done sit on your top etc but there cheap for a reason.
If you use your car for any milage then spend some more money.
Any garage can do it your looking at about £1k with coilover to do it though.
Its not a huge job just difficult if any of the bolts dont want to come off.
Yep it wont work for a lot of damage. Thats why Id buy a spare wheel.
Also if you damage a tyre on a certain bit you can have it patched sometimes. If youve had to use the tyre foam the tyre is useless and you need a new one a cheap £5 patch cannot be used.
The new ones got a longer ratio box so will hopefully keep the revs below 4km at 80mph going over 4k is where a lot more fule is burned as the ECU mapping is designed to make power not be economical like sub 4k running is.
Omar brand new dci engines are £1.2k I think all in or used ones for...
It could be the bolts which hold the under body engine tray on. Have a look under the engine and youll see a big plastic cover see if its loose in any corner and you might find thats where the bolt has been. There quite tighly stuck on in the factory though however has your car been in for...
You can get 15 inch steel wheels although even if you cannot just get a 14 inch wheels and stick it on one of the back wheels and stick the back wheel on the front (this is what CTR drivers have to do). A 15 inch alloy or steel wheel will fit.
If your doing any sort of milage a diesel makes a load of sence. Driving round me dci gets 55~65mpg (depending hwo gently I am) the Williams gets about 30~36 on the same route. Basically the Williams costs another 5 pence per miles, over 20k that adds up to £1k not an insignificant saving plus...
The bottle cannot fix the tyre in all circumstances so best get a spare IMO.
Yep any spare will fit and since you dont have abs there not much of a problem unless you drive like a nutter on the spare.
I dont think the RAC accept punchures though a few people have had them come out when they...
£7.5k sounds a reasonable price for your car. Id not think youd get much more not when 182s have been going for £8.5k in some cases.
Im not sure how much cheaper the megan cup is but a full weigh should be able £15k from a garage who need the sale/the internet.
Thats box looks like the filter enclosure. The hole yoyu can see goes onto the throttle body I take it and the big hole on the end of it is where the air is sucking in from the atmosphere?
Im not sure what you want to know. That is important as it ensures all air going to the engine has been...
There is a forum member who has done this themselves (stan). Also adis car runs an aftermarket ecu on his throttle bodies 2.0 valver hybrid. It was fitted by GDI/Angelworks.
drill the op riverts out wont be that bad compaired to some jobs.
Removing the bumpers easy.
Loosen the two nuts under the front of the car holding the bumper to the underside of the car (no need to remove them just loosen then).
Remove the numberplate and youll see the nut in the whole in...
Racing blue looks very good in real life no picture ever seems to do it justice. Id go for black or titanium though, blue is a very common colour and thats not me.
The suspension set us very good possibly, more what I prefer than the trophy (to oversteary or would make me worry it would...
The present ECU has been cracked BB (via fastchip) have cracked it and can use the ecu to manage a turbo setup (more complex than just a simple remap).
Aftermarket ecu with slightly uprated maps are £250 or so and plug in and play an can be removed to sell the car on as stock later on or...
The 182 Cup has the Cup suspension setup as stock so I wouldnt sat having it is an aftermarket option etc.
I agrre though it wouldnt be an issue for me Id only get the Cup suspension then coilover it so Id have to tell my insurer anyway.
If you have the Williams setup you can tell the difference between the correct wheels and the wrong offset wheels I know it sounds unbelivable but that few MM difference can be noticed.
New subframe is £500 I thing from memory. Any Mk2 2 subframe will fit though.
Breakers will sell them for 1/2 that price try renault specialist breakers there bound to have some in stock.
Its not to bad to change I dont think.
