Youd need new covers if the clips ar broken as thare an all in one unless you can superglue the old clips back on.
New covers are about £25 from Renault, depends on spec though.
Arr I just wrote a reply but the forum wouldnt post it, its so anoying.
Anyway the bar youve bent is part of the whole electric rack consisting of the two bars ie one for each of the front wheels and the tube like bit between them. You might be lucky and havnt damaged he internals if so then...
Cost to repair depends on loads of things ie where your buying the bits from ie new, second hand etc and what sort of rates your paying to get it does ie getting a friend to do it.
Also its other damage with you cannot see which will make the bill jump the subframe should be ok as if its not...
Im just lazy dont like having to do work even as little as switching the lights on.
You could pull the wires on the two sensors for the lights and wipers if you wanted.
If you leave the wiper switch on the top position then it wont wipe at all the first section down just turns on the auto, the next down have them on constantly.
I find the auto lights and wipers very good though.
Switch the ignition to setting one ie before you start the car but the lights on the dash still come on and turn the lights stalk fully on and off twice.
If you do it right youll hear a beep and the lights should be working again.
To check just put your hand over the sensor on the...
Renault should paynout I think give Renault UK a call theyll check it out. VAG had a problem with some of there coils a while back and replaced them under warently. Also Renault have replaced a few 172 coils in the past with no problem all under warently. I cannot see them deeming it as normal...
I dontt know what there on about Id just use any old stuff.
What I meant was make sure your putting a good amount of screen wash mixtrue in ther with the water as one of the reasons the ballsc an fall out atm is because water freezes and pushes the balls out however screeen wash lowers the...
Its just a normal battery.
Halfords sell them etc there nothing amazing.
Just remember to change it quick as the remote can forget its settings and so youll be back to Renault to payt a fortune for them to reauthorise the key.
Insurance is about 1% of the value of the car usually.
Tyres fuel and brakes depend how much you hammer it. But they recon 10* notrmal tyre and brake wear and say you drive 200 miles during the day that the same as about 2k normal wear and say you do 14mpg (not to bad an estimate) youll burn...
Tom probably got the cheapest one.
But anyone who bought them on the friends and familt deal got an excellent discount. (some people paid about £10.5k I think)
Youll always find someone who paid less if your happy then just accept it.
I hammer the dci every day. Its seels 4k least 5 times a day and ~5k about every week.
Sort of explains the constant 55mpg even on a long drive to work every day
Bondy said he was working on a none PAS rack I think might be worth dropping him a message as it would be ligther and have more feedback than a PAS one.
Coilovers are just normal uprated dampers but the seat for the spring to sit on can be moved up and down.
Coilovers for Clios only work at the front due to the design of the rear setup.
Coilovers are just different springs and dampers but the front dampers have adjustable height seats. since...
The wiring under the seats is for the airbags and pre tentioners.
You can have heated seats on the continet but not in the UK cars.
Would be nice if Renault brought the option out over here.
No offical Uk cars have heated seats AFAIK and no imports have had it either but there no reason I...
Yep, IMO the ride will be much better on different dampers along with shocks or coilovers.
The Apex RSX coilover kit could go lower than Freds car (as far as I can tell) as theres that much spare in the coil to wind down.
But the problem is more at the back any more than 60mm will be very...
You cannot but normal Coilover which lower the back more than 60 or so I dont think you need custom springs not sure what spec the back are but new front springs would seem to be quite cheap judging by the Demon Tweeks racing catalogue.
I do about 50 miles a day in my car and as I said above...
I know Fred Im very suprised as well seeing how low your car is.
Its going lower as the springs havnt settled and theres still about 4cm of coil left to lower on but at the moment its 315mm at the front and 305mm at the back.
The minimum "allowed" figures according to the paperwork say 300mm...
Sounds like a faulty switch unless your hiting the brake etc.
Renault should be able to fix it all they have to do is plug into the diagnostics whilst driving along ane see what sensor is causing the cruise to disconnect. So they will have to put some miles on it might be worth asking if you...
Ive got an RSX Coilover Apex kit on my Clio and the drop is upto 70mm front and 60mm rear. However if you wanted you can lower the front at least another 40mm as there plently of thread left in the coilover.
Im not sure what other companies coilover lower but I would dought they lower the rear...
