Takes 0.6 hrs to do I think according to Renault they need to plug their computers into the car to authorise the new keys.
Does the key not work in the ignition? If its just the central locking you can reset it yourself so it will work but if its the ignition then youll need Renault.
All the Clios petrols for the 18K should be the same price they do the same jobs on all of then.
My reasonably local dealership does it for £99 (Birkenhead).
Its often worth driving to another garage to get it done cheaper its £30 cheaper to have the car serviced at Birkenhead than the local...
Your cars over 3yrs old isnt it ie out of warenty?
If so then I wouldnt take it to Renault take it to a normal garage who know what there on about ie GDi who will charge you much less for just as good a job.
Do the brakes yourself its easy and very cheap.
My dealer wanted £90 for just pads Ive got disks and pads for £57 and can fit them for free very easily.
I hope the chimp swinging round the engine bay of my car take some care of it today. I wonder if the Williams owners is working on it?
But Im not holding up much hope they cannot even find the locking wheel nuts which are in the wheel well.
There is a Renault Sport course I think that tecnitians etc an go on to learn the intricacies of the 172/182 car.
There are a few people here who work for Renault.
Should be a problem the only thing is it wont go away.
The is caused by axl tramp ie the engine can move about in its mounst and it hits the heat shield or whatever else is in the way ie PAS pipe/ aircon pipes.
Keep the Williams I think you already know that though you just need us o back you up you yourself said "I love it to bits". Take a 182 out and I can imagine the love isnt as great as it is for the Williams.
Saving say 2 p liter and doing lets say 15k/yr at 35mpg the saving works out to be about £116
Since youll get no more power from 98 RON why pay more for it?
I agree the 182/172 arnt cars for the frugal but why waste money?
Dump valve on a diesels wont work as diesels as they do on petrols as they dont have throttle plates which petrols do to need dump valves. So there is no hp or responsivness gains. Diesels can sound like they have dump valves particularly the 150 VAG engine but its the EGR valve suffing exhaust...
I agree with its terriable quality. Have you tired the recomended idea of giving the engine a few second till all the lights go out ie like you do with a diesel before you engate the starter.
Sorry to hear it.
77 01 471 857 COVER RH £21.62 ex vat (drivers side)
77 01 471 856 COVER LH £21.62 ex vat (passenger side).
They come unpainted though.
You should be fine Youll just pay a fair bit Id expect £800~£1.2k depends on so many other factors though.
It will be about the same price as a 172 realy to insure.
Id see what happens to prices in 5 months I can see those Cup 182 being very cheap as people arent willing to buy them at the sliglty reduced prices so youll be able to get a pre registered one for ~£10k from a dealer.
Depends hw much you want to spend though, Id look at the prices if the 182...
To convert Nm to lb multiply it by 0.737
The 172 has (or should have ) 166.6hp UK HP (the french rate a Hp as slightly more than a UK horse is capable of.
A 182 should have 176hp but its down to loads of different factors.
Its expensive but when you break it down its not to bad.
Say disks are £40 for two thats £80 worth of disks then pads are so £40 and so hoses are only £20.
Still it looks a lot.
