I used some of the local cheap fuel places fuel in my Escort ones caused terriable knocking must have been very poor RON fuel.
My mate woked there and swore it was from Texaco or something but I recon it was the poor stuff they made which wasnt good enough to sell at there own petrol stations...
They need a noticable difference between Renault Sport models I belive to differentiate there cars.
I want to see a Renault SPort dci though a 172 mpg just isnt good enough if yor doing big milages.
Motorworld are supposed to do a good type.
There are loads for sale on the net which can be made up to say whatever you want or in whatever colour you want.
Yep give a few companies a ring. Quite a few dont charge for mods.
More than (fine with any exterier and interier mods so long as no faster accelaration or top speed)
Liverpool Victoria (excellent with mods and engine work so long as you dont change cc)
Dont get the 2.0 owners started.
Basically loads of cars most big sporty things have 50% more weight so need 50% more power just to keep up (until drag becomes a factor)
Ring Renault finance and get a settlement figure then get loan for the amoutn and send the check to Renault they will then finish the loan and you can sell the car.
Personaly I woulndt bother youll probably be left getting a loan for almost what the cars worth leaving you with very little...
The dash dials bit holds the milage so swopping will get the milage from the doner car.
Not sure about the readouts I think they will work ie 5k rpm will read 5k rpm on 172 or normal dash.
I wouldnt bother spednign a fortune stock brakes are excellent better than the last 911 turbo if I remember.
Get some new disk (£50 from Fred) some uprated pads (tones of choice just do a search) and change the fluid and if you want change the flexable pipe.
Youll save yourself a packet.
I wouldnt worry the 1.2 8V is underpowered but if its the V6 lookalike on here I wouldnt care about power just look at the thing, you dont need to go quick to get people to look at it.
Its an excellent replica.
If you want you could have a 2.0 etc dropped in.
Liverpool Victorias online system is uselss wont give you a quote for most things.
They were excellent value for me last yr but I went with More Than this year which were £300 cheaper they allow any mods so long as acceleration or top speed arnt affected.
Dont forget if your an Amicus union...
Err is it possible to get back on topic.
Im wondering if there a lot of anti Clio hatred out there (for whatever reason) or just a load of bored internet users wanting to wind people up.
Nothing wong with Clios, each to there own. If you dont like it your entitled to your own view but...
Depends the milage your going to do.
I take it the Clios not on finance?
But milage wont matter much to its value and with servicing so cheap its probably better to use the 1.2 all the time or swop and get a a dci if your doing big milage.
Assuming a 1.2 with 10k vs a 1.2 with 40k are for...
A new cable is £86 inc Vat.
The previous owners has cut it out and tried to sell it on (its probably the one I bought).
The bracket and screw are very cheap £16 I think for both and it will fit under either seat although its normally fitted under the passenger side.
The plastic tray will...
Might be worth have a look http://www.cliosport.net/gallery/?gallery=others&Pg=1here for some ideas.
Personally anything easy to do or stick on looks tacky. (although this can depend)
Its a Cat one alarm.
I think there all Cobras (assuming its not an aftermarket one).
Not much realy you need to know about it.
The sensors are usually set up to sensitively so they go off all the time when itsalarmed (Renault will fix that underwarently)
The autolocking can be turned on...
Yep call the company up theyll probaly ask for a small premium to cover the 172 instead but how much depends on the company.
You can change cars as much as you want on one policy and so long as you havnt claimed get the yrs NCB from it.
I like these little rally cars.
Wierd cars never heard of anone who ownered one. Saw the 4 version on TV once in a rally and it did very well.
Toyota engine with some tweeks (exhaust cam + Ik + exhaust work I think)
Could the handling not be fixed with some tweeks?
Was it one of those Daihatsu 2 seater sports cars things
They looked quite good wished Id had a test drive at the motorshow.
172 is very economical if your careful.
