Yep a Williams has been droped in a 5 before. Quite a bit needs to be cut I belive to make it fit and the engine litrally looked like it would need totaly dismatling to do anything.
0-60 depends how you drive it drop the cluctch will be better performance wise but not good for clutch life.
Nothing much to know there about the same weight as Cups but have climate and a spare wheel I belive (full sized alloy I think) older ones have an alloy bonnet for extra weight saving...
Yep I agree but since people think they can tell the difference between a few HP might as well get the most you can. Anyway you should get get better MPG with 97+ RON as its designed for that than normal fuel, which you might be able to argue is able to counteract the extra cost. ANyway the...
Get 55mpg on adverage over 29k but before I swoped to some new tyres (ie going easy) I was getting 65mpg. Over 80 is possible but I feel Im holding up the traffic to much.
On cam is a just a point in the revs where the cams and engien efficience in getting air an fuel into the engine increases.
You can come on cam without VVT etc its just a point where the cams become more efficient.
All UK spec cars come with alarms imports dont have them as standard so you need to get one installed for most insurance companies.
The alarm can be speced to any of the Clio range. It changes the security from a CAT 2 to a CAT 1 and cost me £300 I think. The dealership installed it themselves...
Its designed to run on 97+ RON fuel ie the expensive stuff so running on normal fuel means less power no question. It will run happily on normal stuff all its life no problem but you wont get 182hp.
If I had one it would be run on 97+ RON fuel all the time.
Optimax etc also have other bits...
DOnt cut the cable youll spend ages trying to get it back to gether again.
Not sure how the facotry install them but try and tape up the end efore pulling it though the dash as it should not get stuck as much.
The stock ones good enough. Cobra do good ones which can be added to the normal alarm I belive. Why do you want extra protection? The cars overrated before you stick an alarm in there
Optimax will make less power as its needs adjusted ignition timing and higer compression rates to take advantage of the fuel in normal use its not being used so is less useful than normal fuel
172/182/Cups are designed to run on 97+ RON fuel so need it for full power but can run (abeitly at...
Dont waste your money on high RON stuff unless your engine timed to used it (and it isnt as long as its stock) as youll loose power. You might geta cleaner burn as the injectors are cleaned though as optimax has other bits in it but no other gains.
BenR did a post a few days ago on it.
Costs about £1.5k I think but you have to supply the bits and a complete car is the best place to start. and then sell whats left afterwards.
Power output depends on what you want to spend the stock is 120hp and with a few mods ie exhaust intake and messing with boost pressure 140 should be...
The new 1.4 and 1.6 are very similar case tyres suspension etc.
The 1.4 is ~group 6 and 1.6 about 14 I think but youll need to ring the insurance companies they might be very litttle difference.
The 1.6 has the extra 10hp and more torque but is 95% the same engine as the 1.4 just depedns...
Even the old shape ones were fun. < Glad I dont have to achually say that out loud.
The new Clios share wiring light setups, switches, electrics etc I belive so indicators might be alike and speedo etc be the same arch but the chassis is different.
How about a Seat Ibiza sport 130tdi for ~12k or a Skoda Fabis Vrs for about the same very fast cars would show a Clio Dci up and have massive potential 6 speed box.
Or what about a 100tdi Skoda Fabia there £10.35 new on drive the deal or something so uk spec as well.
If you want a Clio then...
Are you sure LV wont insure anyone under 25 on a 172/cup/182 (Ive tried) are you under somone else name as a named drivere?
Lv are excellent with mods so long as you dont change the cc of the engine there fine and even with bigger engines theres only (at present but is likely to change) a...
I think if you make a claim (in particular if the cars is as your was a right off) they can still make you pay for the rest of the yr regardless of if you dont have the car as they have paid up.
Are the front wearing down the same?
It might just be your experiancing more wear as on righ handed bends your realy pushing it so wearing its outer edge more.
Have you checked the pressure of it? What about trying swopping front and back round (The best tyres should be on the back anyway)...
Yep there expensive £107 sounds a good price I dont think any cheaper suppliers will be able to get hold of any for a bit.
Might be worth having a look for normal sized tyres ie not stiffened walls, not sure how much you would loose but you got to put it in context with the price.
You can get 3yr deals for stock UK spec 182 ie no suspension or yellow paint for £220 I think I remember.
Wheather or not its a good deal depends on other factors ie milage allowance is servicing etc included.
Personally Id go but an import or similar one for say £13k on a loan over 3yrs...
I think there only one silver colour dont worry about that.
I wouldnt have imagined there would be a problem ordering some paint if they have checked the oval plate.
Your cars paint is bound to be slightly fadded from what it was an new and being as your appling new paint it will need some...
Might be tunned there are turbo kits out for them I belive.
The 1.4 is only 90hp I think and 105 isnt to bad Id have though
Best idea might be a full service ie new airfliter, plugs.
Loosing weight wont gain much top end as its all about drag at that speed realy
Im doing this in sections an my pc keeps crashing in the heat and Im not loosing all this.
Remove the cd player on your car using the screwdrivers again.
Then pull the gear leave cover bit back from around the passenger foot well and feed the cable up though there to the cd player.
Then...
Dead easy to do but its very annoying.
To remove the cd changer undo the bolt at the back ie the cradle youll probaly need a normal screwdriver to do it.
Then get mad trying to remove it it does come not entirly sure how I got it in.
The pull the carpet up and pull the wire out it should...
Bllimy you get though pads dont you. Do you find any problems with brake fade then on the ring after all if your pads last that long you must use them enough.
How much did they charge you for the service?
The engine could go to about 9k on stock springs before you started to get valves being in the wrong place and sticking to pistons etc.
The RSport ecu lets the engine rev to 8k or something if you want some more revs but I think power starts to fall off above peak efficiency.
The ECU isnt...
What bike do you have Im no bike expert but they look cool (Im sad I know)
An M3 can be betten in a race with a Saxo if its supercharger and there are a few of them out there.
Only way to not loose to any boy racers it to buy a plane or helicopter as there are quite a few sleepers. A V6...
Most likely means no alarm as foreign registered cars or imports into the UK dont have them as standard. The plip is to tell you the doors have locked ie the remote central locking has activated.
Any car ie EU import so long as its not from cyprus has a full Renault 3 yr warently the dealers might not give you a courtesy car if they can get away with it (ie they fix the car in under 24hrs) but apart from that they cannot treat you any diferently although some try.
Same rev counter as used in the other petrol models
There was a 110hp 1.9 mk2 1 Clio made Im sure it was sold over here I think one of the admin on here had one which was chipped to 130hp
