Things left to do:

Fit injector connectors to new engine loom
Fit battery and cut off switch
So yeah very nearly finished :)
Thanks :)
I have 8 trackday to fit in this year so its going to get as much use as poss. I only planned to tidy up the...
Spent a little bit of time (all day :( ) on the car today.
My main aim for today was to fit the new air filter.
So first i had to remove the Throttle Bodies as i had to use them for my template. So after i had remove them i this is how they looked.
This is my backing plate that i got...
That was qute a write up, you've have lots of bad luck, hopefully the karma thing gets balanced out and you have some more luck!
I was never a fan on that filter on my car kept getting sucked onto the ends of the trumpets iirc. The old ktec filter was worse for doing that that.
Get some pics...
Ha Motorsport is safe!!! Hmmm not so sure about that, but that's what I tell my old dear when I do trackdays. On the track you wear helmets, everones going the same way and there's no trees to hit.
Hope the guys in the crash make a full recovery!
Re: White Trackday 172 Project
Nice track car, only just seen this thread, do you know you have to tack the metal wishbone sleves to the wishbones or they will cut the subframe!
Any plans for the engine?
That info was helpful thanks.
I have been using a sonius (I think that's how you spell it) compounds and pads. A few years ago I bought a kit which came with a meg g220 da with 3 compounds and 3 pads. I had only ever used that so when I had used the first compound I sometimes saw that it was...
I have detailed around 10 cars using a beginner friendly set of compounds and pads. Sometimes the swirles and scratches just wouldn't be corrected as well as I would have liked, not because I was doing it wrong but because I think the compounds were just light.
My question is instead of...
I was always under the impression that standard F4r's don't need to run an oil cooler.
Fred whats wrong with running a track car on 10w40 or 5w40? Why are the other oils better?
I will be running a cooler on my car this year
Great choice in loosing the blowers. Interior will look so much neater now. My loom is in the bulk head and my wires come out of the gap on the right. I found there's not much room underneath the mk1 dashes for loom unless it's very thin.
Door pulls look sweet too!
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
Looks really nice inside. Perhaps loosing the headlining would have looked a little better.
So when do you think the first coat of paint will go on?
Yeah caged stuff loom pretty tidy. I ITB'd my 182 for under £2k, not the cheapest its been done but still not bad. Its loads cheaper sourcing second hand parts and building it yourself. Just depends if you know the difference between a spanner and a socket! ;)
Anyway I went down the rs tuner...
Yeah you will need those parts Neil. 19mm tubing iirc.
You will also need some hose clips too as it might leak if you just push the metal bit in.
I know my stuff, although the more I learn about f4r's ect the more Uni work gets pushed out the other side lol
