Clio DCi starting / glow plug issues

Sure someone here will have experience with this. DCi 65, glow plug light is permenantly on and it's struggling to start when cold. Turns over for 10-15 secs then starts with a ploom of white smoke, turn it off when it's warm for example at the petrol station and it starts perfectly as normal...

Sunflower yellow, non sport, advice please!!!

It's a genuine 16v sport that's been colour coded poorly. Replace all the CC bits from a scrappy and it would tidy up nicely. Colour looks a bit UV faded but maybe just a poor photo. He dropped it from £500 to £350 still a bit expensive for what it is/work required

Advice for Potential RS 18 F1 buyer

The r-link runs on Android anyway, what benefits would you get from replacing it? I'm pretty sure the benefits wouldn't outweigh loosing the rs monitor

Advice for Potential RS 18 F1 buyer

just not long sold mine after doing 20k in it in a year. Best Renault sport I've ever owned, and I've had every hot Clio since the ph1 apart from the V6's! Once you settle into a groove with it its fantastic, hugely more capable than its predecessors I found the interior build quality was...

    Turbo a clio gt 2009

if you have to ask that question then you don't want to be spending money on it! that turbo is tiny and of course the manifolds are completely different the engine can be turbocharged, bloke is your man with his twingo RS adventures.

    MK4 DCI

You average 100mpg over say 100 miles? Surely that trip computer is broken. I can drive pretty economical but 70mpg on a long trip is about the best I could ever manage
  18. Martin_172

    MK4 DCI

MPG went up a little due to the torque you didn't need to down shift as much but drivability was night and day, standard ones feel broken when you go back to one lol the performance is fantastic, the torque from 1500rpm-3000rpm is brilliant

Clio 220 Phase 2 and Phase differences?

I average 35mpg pottering about in auto normal mode, push on and it soon drops sub 30mpg. Facelift interior is a bit nicer with the different centre console and nicer air vents etc, led lighting inside and led lights outside make a massive difference when driving at night. They are apparently...

    MK4 DCI

Bullet proof, no issues to report. My wife done 160k in a 14 plate over 5yrs, I done oil and filter every 18k and brakes when it needed them, probably 6 sets of front tyres and it was still on it's original rears. Was never back to a dealership in the 5 years we had it, sailed it's 2 MOT's too...

    330ci to 172/172Cup/182 .. etc ??

Good condition 172, the cup weight saving isn't worth it when your going to strip the 172 anyway. Strip, fit your safety gear, brakes, 15s/tyres, suspension. And enjoy

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

fantastic cars absolutely loved my pair! such a riot once tuned, I used to hold on to 172/182s until around 100mph which really is more than enough for the road these days. my first one was a bit higher milage and I roasted the clutch with 150lb/ft in about 2000 miles lol the second one had no...

    Martin's Clio DCi Van

Was a faulty tdc sensor, £2 from the scrappys! Mates white DCi blew a boost pipe so the wee van came to the rescue and done a 50 mile round trip to save him with a new pipe

    Replacing the 182

Yeah it rectified all the silly bits they got wrong with the 200 and the facelift interior is a touch nicer. Never driven a 135 but I've driven a 140, fantastic cars, stupidly fast but the Clio is a hell of a lot more involving to drive. It's still got that Renault sport magic but without the...
