Looking for a bit of advice. I picked up an MOT failure 1.6 16v Clio mk2 for £100, I had one of these years ago and always found it a good little engine, anyway ive since got it on the road and after a few weeks of pondering what to do with it and some youtube time watching what some of the...
you need the small plastic elbow that comes out of the turbo, I needed it when I put an 80 Intercooler onto a 65.
currently your turbo outlet just goes thru a U shaped hose direct into the engine inlet.
the big plastic pipe comes from the engine inlet, down the the o/s of the engine bay to the...
I'm really confused by the Clutch concerns? even if the 5,000 miles have all been done on a quarter mile track, I bet the car with launch control wears the clutch a lot better than any of us doing a launch in a proper, I mean older clio RS.
front needs to come up a bit but that looks great! I had AP's on my Twingo GT and they were fantastic for the money. much better than FK's I had used previously on Clios
also it would suit a smaller front plate like the 172/182s run!
loads I can think of, granted not all are using the full budget.
mk2 FRS
mk3 FRS
Impreza RB320
R34 gtr (not looked at prices for a while not sure if they are still sub 30k)
Megan's r26-r
as Danny says 182 trophy althow u might need more than 30k by the time a few months have past
sub 30k for...
definitely worth trying to get a run in one, I never rated them at all then my centr box failed and I didn't want a flat spot so akra seemed like the option at the time without getting a remap which soon added up to the same sort of cash!
driving about its not much louder than standard and on...
akrapovic would finish that off lovely, they don't sound all that in videos but in real life they are the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard. I never got over mine after I sold the car! I'll probably have another 200 just to get one again!!
there is a big difference between a freshly rebuilt (or new) set of sachs and the performance of them after many thousand miles and with one leaking though!
buy the cheapest one you can find, being digital an HDMI cable will either work or not work, not like a scart cable for example where different cables gave different quality picture.
personally id say while the clio is the better car dynamically I think the 182 would feel like a downgrade, id be looking at a 200 if you fancy a swap to a clio, least you still get the 182 thrills with an even better chassis, better brakes and still have that modern feel
they are holding money but hardly an investment, I thought mine was fairly priced when I got it a couple of years ago for £5k, standard with 50k miles. ive since spent 2x services, brakes, 2x tyres and its now due a belt change so there goes a grand-£1500, and ive done probably 5k in it, if that...
not worth spending any more than a remap. Ive used Superchips Bluefin on my last 3, good gains, reliable, do it yourself with the touch of a button. 106's shift when you change the mapping on them and unleash the extra torque, especially about town! as with tuned diesels though they always feel...
R27 wasted my love for the Trophy too. ive since shifted the R27 on as I couldn't be arsed with the cost of them every time they need something doing but imo they feel just as special to drive as the trophy.
I'm considering selling mine on too, i fancy building something like an F4RT mk2 or mk3...
