Drain it out of the sump plug on the gearbox. It would depend how old the oil was if I was going to do that, if it's old and grey I'd just put fresh gear oil in.
Mine sits exactly how yours does in that picture but is hidden abit more due to having the ph-2 rear bumper, although I do have about an inch gap above the back box. Not entirely sure why some sit differently than others :S
It's clicked who you are now I've seen your user name lol. At 1st I thought you was someone having a moan about something when I saw you talking when I had my window up haha!
Aye it is tad loud, was alot louder at one point though lol.
You're mistaken :rasp: lol.
The Konis are definitely firmer than the 172/172Cup dampers. Even on the softest setting the Konis give a firmer ride than the standard dampers.
From what I've heard, yours is suppose to sound just like mine. Don't know what it is of late but a lot of people seem to be having dephaser issues recently.
In your video, is it pointing out the high pitched whurring sound that it's doing when the word "noise" pops up in red?
Edit: Just heard the exact same noise in your video, panic over! Lol.
Just been out to it again and tried it. Yeah it does it as you've explained, rev it and you get a single crunch noise, then when you let off the throttle and let the revs drop it does it again.
Does sound like what you've explained though, funny how I've never noticed it before. Thanks Jord.
In that video yours isn't making the same noise as mine, (I've watched that video quite a few times to see if I could hear it lol)
As the revs die down on mine I get a crunching sort of noise.
My dephaser pulley has been noisey for a fair few months now but there's another noise that's quite worrying. It only happens when the engine is warm and when the throttle is blipped at low RPM. Could it still be related to the dephaser pulley or has another issue developed. You'll have to...
Maybe if you didn't do everything at a million miles per hour and stopped and thought about things you'd have simply put in that text "Makro in Irlam" How was I suppose to know there isn;t one in Warrington? and it'd make sense you'd gone to somewhere in Warrington considering the meet started...
ScrewFix in Warrington lol. He just said "Makro" with you being in Warrington to begin with I just presumed there was one in Warrington so went to ScrewFix thinking it might have been around there.
Rather annoying considering you was only 10minutes away from where I live lol
Definitely nothing to do with the acoustic valve as mine hasn't got one lol.
But now you've mentioned the carbon canister, I have noticed there is a slight split in one of the pipes that leads to the canister. Might have a look at doing something with that.
Cheers for that mate.
Doesn't happen very often this and it only happens when the engine is cold.
On idle not long after starting the car seems to miss for a second, seems like it runing on 3 cylinders and nearly cuts out, a second after the car picks up again and runs fine. It'll only do it on the very rare...
The Arcan jack they do is really good, got one myself. Not sure if they still stock them though, last time I was in my local Costco they didn't have any.
Had the same issue when I fitted mine. Had to use araldite to secure it in the end. Only problem is if someone decides to try and nick it they'll probably take the front bumper with it.
