The previous owner had this size tyre fitted, can't think off hand what brand they are, they're dutch and I've never come across them before.
My question is could this size cause poor handling? It's not so much an issue at low speed corners but high speed ones, feels unstable and tramlines an...
I know it's abit late now but what I did till I'd built a few no-claims bonus was use my Gran's address for my insurance to help lower the premium. If you know/trust anyone with an address with a better postcode group I'd advise doing that if you can.
The whole of Manchester is covered by groups E & F, it's a pretty poor system really considering someone who lives in Mosside (for an example) is in the same group as you. I'm in group E but still pay what I think is a high premium (for age/years had my licence/ NCB).
I just wiggled the wires under my seats on the advice of Jay Low. Did the trick for now. French cars!

Cheers!
Majority of people will avoid them, but you'll get people who'll use them in fear of invalidating warranties etc, with the ridiculous prices they charge they can still make a profit even though alot of people won't use them.
23 MPG from a 1.6? f**king hell do you drive on the rev limiter all day long? lol :rasp:
I'm currently getting 32/33 MPG from a mixture of town/motorway driving.
Renault tried to charge me £350 for a standard mild steel one, you'd be better going for a stainless steel one from K-tech Yozzasport etc. Or going to somewhere where they'll knock you up a custom one.
Even though I agree with the OP in this situation (it being the Audi's drivers fault) you just know the Audi driver will say he indicated in his incident report to his insurance. Without witnesses it'll be near impossible to prove he hasn't indicated so I'd expect this to go 50/50.
