Black Clio Non Sport aftermarket alloys?

White wheels with black body work FTW! Love that combination.

    low profile tyres...

You'll have a harsher ride with lower profile tyres, all depends how much lower you're going than your standard tyres.

    Price varience

Lol good old Kwik Fit eh? Never use them again, one and only time I did I had front wheels tracked, got in the car and the steering wheel was severely on the pi5s. They'd forgot to clamp the steering wheel. You can get them for £87.50 a corner on CamSkill and if you know a garage who'll fit...

    Recaros, cheap so far

Wish I'd have spotted that before I ordered my Eibachs. Going off the sellers replies to the questions though he seems a little clueless about them.

    Recaros, cheap so far

Lol. I think Barron should get in contact with the seller and ask for a percentage on the sale if they sell for a high amount considering he's probably added a few hundred on the sale price after posting it on here.

    new discs and pads

Yeah I suppose and they'll probably try and say it's more desirable to thieves also.

    Checking rear drum brakes...

There's a tool you can buy to help release them isn't there? No idea if they're any good though.

    new discs and pads

Surely better brakes should decrease the premium. Better stopping power less chance of having an accident (in theory).

    172 cup or 182 cup?

Carry a brick around with you in the car and use that. ;) Seriously though, if you can do with out the toys go for the 172 Cup, as you've said they're cheaper.

    Direct Line! Wtf!?

Wasn't with Direct Line but with a company called Eagle Star now known as Zurich. I rang them up and asked how much extra it'll cost me to fit an induction kit and an exhaust. They gave me a price and said it'll be saved on their system, I then fitted the mods and rang them up again to tell them...

    v-maxx coilovers fitting instructions

There's a guide to fitting H&R coilovers I think. I'd imagine it'd be the same principles for fitting the V-Maxx coilovers baring the odd difference.

    Removing over-tightened bolts.

Had another go at the bolt in question and managed to loosen it, while I had my tools out I decided to loosen the bolts on the front as I'll hopefully getting some Eibachs in the near future. While I was under the bonnet loosening the nuts at the top of the shockers I found the offside one was...

I'll give that a try. Cheers.

    Removing over-tightened bolts.

I think it depends on the mood of who's working there. I went to the ATS near me and asked them to fit a couple of brand new tyres, guy I spoke said they couldn't due to insurance reasons. Went back a couple of days later and asked the same thing to a different bloke and they fitted them for me. :S

    Removing over-tightened bolts.

Lol. I'd have tried that but there's not enough room under the car.

    Removing over-tightened bolts.

Well I'm putting it down to being over-tightened. The bolt that attaches your shocker to the rear hub. Managed to loosen the offside bolt by soaking it in WD40 but the nearside bolt just won't budge. I'm expecting the usual "man up" comments but does anyone have any ideas on how to loosen it...

    Tips for selling my car

Have a glance on prices on Ebay/PistonHeads and see what others are selling there's for and price it between those prices. If it's to high people will just avoid it, if it's to low people will think there's something wrong with it or it's just a scam.

Please help: 172 popping out of 3rd gear at high revs

In my other 172, that use to happen but only it 1st at high revs, never did find out why though. As DrRollo says though, could be a dodgy mount.

Rear Springs fiited to no avail

I started a thread about how the rear end of my car and how it sits lower than the front, alot of suggestions were that the rear springs had sagged, changed them today but the car still sits in the same position. Any other suggestions? Rear shocks are fine by the way. I might just go with my...

    172 & 182 Buying Price?

Unless the one you're going to look at is absolutely mint and a one off, shop around, be prepared to travel a fair distance and you'll get a good one for a decent price.

does this sound like the dephaser ?

Hmmm! why does it ask you to sign in to YouTube? Thought you only had to sign in to see videos that were explicit or seriously violent just so you can confirm you're over 18?

    carcraft!

LOL at Carcrafts prices, they've always been the same and will never change. When ever I went to the one in Rochdale I just used them for test driving cars with no intention of buying, always amusing when the dealers eyes light up thinking they've got a sale, then after they've thrown the...

    172 to a 182

You'd be pushing it abit to get 195 just from the manifold/decat and a remap. Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't you need ITBs to gain those sort of figures?
