it will be 1 of 2 things likely if its a 1.5 DCi.
1. its probably the ARB Drop links, look under the front of the car, you will see the ARB (anti Roll Bar) at each side, it bolts onto the bottom suspension arm at each side on the under side, its a black bar. the drop links that bolt it to the...
not sure on the knocking but i changed the track rod ends on my last one as i had a load of play in the steering and it didnt cure it, then changed the track rods (didnt know they could be changed!) and what a massive difference! it was razor sharp, my ph1 will be getting the same treatment...
yeah pretty expensive however k-tecs exhausts are awesome, ive had 3 on my cars, wouldnt choose anyone else.
a custom exhaust place would be able to knock you up something simmilar for around £300 or less id assume
jcc added that after i bought it.
yeah they are pretty expensive, on my wish list, probably remain their however haha. hows the paddle clutch for driving with?
yeah if you buy brand new it will work without an unlock code and then the person you sell it to if you decide to do so will need an unlock code, im not sure on the exact price www.fastchip.nl is where you get them, ive got one for my ph1 172 their are good gains to be had mid range and lower...
you could cut it away and weld in a plate but i wouldnt say its worth butchering the car for.
you sure your mate has a standard 182 exhaust? K-Tec sell a replica.
no idea, strange one, only thing i could think is temperature related but still doesnt really make sence, dodgey plug i suppose? i just changed my plugs if you need one of my old ones as a spare to test as i know they all work
its a black ph1, i used to have an iceberg silver ph2, sold it to JCC from here.
nice bet it shifts! are you running an LSD or just standard gearbox wise?
their is gains to be had from changing the cat back but to be honest its not worth the extra noise unless you dont mind the noise every day, would do my head in if it was my every day car lol
a decat on the standard system still gives you a nice rasp and pops on over run.
an RS Tuner box to...
just canceled the insurance on it while i wasnt using it, not long had it and it needs a few bits and pieces done before ill be 100% happy with it so didnt see the point in having it insured, will be back soon :) what sort of power you running?
never been down in ages mate im rarely out and about in the car the now as my 172 is off the road. im in denny so in falkirk just as much as stirling really ill need to have a peek at this car if i see you out and about!
quite a bit yeah usually rolling in the DCi100 Xenons ablaze lol i think i may have passed you in stirling in my black ph1 172 a few months back on the D/C down under the tunnel was going to have a blast untill i saw the guage in the windscreen pillar LOL if that was you anyway?
if i was in your possition and had just bought a standard 172 cup i would buy...
Sportlines, inspect rear dampers to see if they are worth replacing (front too while your at it, but rears are more likely to be shot)
ITG pannel Filter, Samco Induction Bend, RS Tuner to give it a 98ron fuel...
ordered a set today for the DCi 100 as the standard ones are shot, £260 all round was resonable i thought! going on with the current Eibach Sportlines thats already on it
few updates nothing special, gave it a wash, changed the sparkplugs, going to do oil and filter on it this week at some point and got Bilstein B14 coilovers lined up for it...
yeah it could do with a bit more, the long term plan is to 16v it but for now hes happy with it. was a bit skitish for liftoff oversteer but now its extremely grippy, id go as far as saying it has more grip than the ek9!!
exactly the weight kills it, hence why the twingo with "only" 130bhp is a riot. people laugh when i say how genuinely quick my dci 100 is but the twingo is a perfect example. my car weighs 980kg with around 125-130bhp so just under the twingo yet 190lb/ft of torque!
yes and im lucky i lived to be fair! they were ok in the dry but dangerous in the wet, i cant stress how bad they were, my dci 65 with cheap £15 a corner tyres had more grip in the wet.
