You might be right . The 1 on the left is definitely the same as I had on my ph2 172 and the same as my 182.
When searching for 182 rear calipers you do see the one on the right come up in the search. I think the only difference is the arm for the handbrake cable.
Like @hipwell said, the one on the left is the original.
I got replacement calipers from Autodoc / onlinecarparts made by Ridex. I paid £46 each delivered. They're identical to original parts...
Last aux belt was changed April 2017 ( 17k miles ago )at Birchdown. That was after a fiasco at a local garage after problems with my alternator. They'd damaged the tensioner so went to Birchdown had a the full aux kit fitted.
The car was off the road for nearly 8 months , garaged and sorned...
That's what I was fearing . How easy/hard to change, cost etc ..........? is it worth getting hold of a 2nd hand pump ?
What's the worst case scenario of it completely fails?
I've still not sorted the long pedal travel on the brakes yet. Just got a replacement servo, m/c and vac hose. The servo...
As per title.
I've been getting a clunking / loud clicking noise from around the aux belt/ alternator area.
When it's been on full lock, either left or right it's really loud.
This morning with the engine only slightly warmed up just turning the steering wheel slightly it was really loud...
It's the right battery. I got a Varta Silver with 52Ah.
Use code LOVE50 gives you 45% off so only £56.

I usually buy my tyres from Camskill then get them fitted locally, 10 quid a corner.
You didn't say in your original post you had access to a tyre machine.
Avon ZV7's in your size are only £49.70 delivered from Camskill , then you can fit them yourself :)
A good battery should be about 12.6v , 14.4v as yours is when it's running.
If your battery is 9v it's cream crackered.
You've done well to have it 9 years , my original battery lasted 8 years then just died without warning.
I used to use the XL 87 higher load rating with a couple of psi higher , that seemed to do the trick compared to the 83 load rating.
They still felt soft but you soon got used to the different steering feel.
When I used to run the RS3's I was surprised just how thin the sidewalls were. If you put your hand inside the tyre you could feel your fingers on the outside.
I always used to run a couple of psi higher than recommended.
I think I'll wait until the RS5's have been out a while and read some...
Will the dome not pass through one of the other holes, maybe the hole the indicator bulb is in?
The leds I put a link to are still going strong , I always drive with my lights on day and night just to alert so if the dickheads on the road that a vehicle is coming towards them lol, so they get...
That would be a good idea.
I'm not doubting what MarcB has said , there might well be some setting in clip for when you change a lambda sensor. But is it necessary to do it ? Who knows?
Any info people share on CS is always useful and people shouldn't be so quick to put down the person who...
I've owned 1*2s for nearly 20 years , first time I've ever heard of it .
If it was the case. Wouldn't disconnecting / reconnecting the battery cause the ecu to relearn the readings from the new sensor??
No need to spend a fortune, I've had one of these for years , used for soldering copper pipes. Cheap replacement cartridges.

I'd take it back. In theory different tyres will offer different levels of grip . Plus the RS5's are supposed to last 15% longer according to Uniroyals website.
My experience with the 3's was piss poor wear rate , I was only getting 5 - 5.5k out of a set on the road. So you might end up with 1...
