Oh, that's unexpected though I hadn't researched much. I wasn't sure what would need a weird lever and be electrical that far down and back on the car. Thanks; so is it meant to be tied in place or actually left to hang there?
Cheers
@BREMBO , just realised you were asking because its clear I am not working on the street. Its a friend with a barn, need to find the photo with his Ginetta G55 in the back, and integra, and M3...
Just found this mystery part not fixed on properly. Anyone have any ideas??
Cable tied for now...
Thats what I just thought. Didnt want metal straight onto carpet for some reason though that kind of looks cleaner. Leaves the side exposed more I guess.
Haha, I was literally thinking the same thing today. Letting working on the car make me feel crap when really I don't "need" it and I had to remember that I enjoy the small successes I have had gaining knowledge on it and actually improving it in the way I want. I have though that yes I could...
Your thread makes me feel lazy again and again!! Looks like its getting along well. I know the feeling with small issues, just one little noise and it makes me paranoid and unable to like the car at all but when its all good I know I never want to sell it!
Cheers, I have also got a bit of knocking or something strange coming from rear area which I haven't ID'd either yet but going to jack up soon and look into. Maybe need new front ARB clamps for those bushes, a mess after changing them the other week.
Thanks for the recommendation too, still...
Ah, just being a blind bloke again, too early in the morning when I went out before. Found it hidden somewhere different by the garage but no harm done.
Thanks for the help anyway. What my newly coated turinis aren't worth £1000.... Haha, sure I could find someone desperate enough on here :)...
I was wondering that though it runs straight as it was. I also changed a lot of bushes for poly too so this is probably my best time to get it done. Might have to wait till September though :(
Cheers
Hi all, So lets say that perhaps I was in a bit of a rush last year and stuck an internal DAB aerial on the underside of the dash in the passenger footwell. 1. Because I didn't want it on the windscreen. 2. I had no time a this point and 3. Stupidly thought a large amount of metal, plastic...
Morning all,
Just had new Eibach pro springs fitted with new cup shocks and the steering almost feels looser. Is this just a consequence of the new stuff?
Going to go fora proper break in drive today and see how it is.
Cheers
Just read @Mini182's thread and he has swapped it with success as far as I can tell after changing his alternator to one working properly.
Cant wait to see progress, wish I had a garage to do a strip down and build.
And photos!

Random missing bolt under wing!
Ready to go on, Thoughts on the centre caps????
Bah!!! ARB came off a lot easier than it went on!!!
Not the worst working location :)
Might have forgotten this! On now though :)
Sad car birthday photo, hopefully the next 10K will be...
Cheers Dan, I have just had eibach pros and cup shocks fitted after polybushing rear axle, top shock mount, front wishbone and arb so thinking of solid mounts next. See how the rest handles first then decide I guess. Certainly look a look better. Any reliability issues yet? or bad vibrations...
Hi; Bit behind it on your thread but thinking about top mounts. What type are these? With eibach pro's and cup shocks? How do you find the set-up?
Cheers
So after the above post I finished my exhaust trims in non high temp pearl black with the high temp as a base which is far from ideal but not much choice. It finished ok though might redo when it inevitably melts.
After refitting the trims and the rear bumper strip in pearl black and liking how...
Full noob. Cheers for the clarification. I should know that as I just bought new cup shocks which show the bolts that spacing refers too. Ah right, ET was a mystery to me. They are 4x100 so here I go. Hopefully get them in a few days and have them re-coated soon after. Someone has doen a fairly...
About to ask stainless creations in Falkirk if they can "modify" my Scorpion to have slash cut tips as I think they look great. Might have to ask about potential sound affects though. I really don't want a loud at 70mph noise.
Hi, full/partial noob query. When buying second hand turinis for my 182 FF do I need to check the spacing, 54mm/60mm or just make sure they are PCD 4x100mm and ET38/45?
Thanks
Don't know if a winter tyre poll could/should be started???
Anyway I thought I'd put up a short note on my Michelin Alpin A4's as I couldn't find much if anything on them before buying. Got them from tyreleader and they were fairly quick and definitely the cheapest.
I haven't done many miles...
Cant believe I just found this thread, looks great so far. I must look into the alcantara re-trim as that is a great way to get rid of the light grey parts without spraying.
Very small update. Finally taken my exhaust trims off and rear bumper strip to paint black and have ordered new Eibach pro springs, cup shocks and powerflex front and rear bushes(rear axle, top shock mount, front arb and wishbone sets!).
Halfrauds high temp "metallic black" paint turned out to...
Hi, Any idea where the carbon bullets came from. I was going to spray mine BG/renault Pearl Black but yours look stealthy and nice with the black writing.
Cheers
OK, so after saying I'd get the hankooks I got delayed with the order and have indulged in the PS3's. £81 a corner on tyreleader in 83V. I ran Alpin 4's in the winter and they were great even though they were 87W. I'll update once fitted and driven but sure they will be ecellent and maybe a bit...
