I had this last week . Battery and Stop light were flickering while on the motorway , then became constant .This is the first time It had happened. I got home , turned off the engine and It wouldn't start again straight away . I rang my garage and said It might be the earth strap, which he...
Yeah I specced the 87 XL after reading some reviews . The very first time I had Rainsports , albeit the RS2's , I did notice a slight squirmyness , coming from Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's. I soon got used to it though , and don't notice it anymore with the RS3's . Personally I don't think it's all...
I've just had 2 Uniroyal Rainsport 3's fitted today . Its the 3rd set I've had , previously Rainsport 2's . The wear rate isn't the best , only 8500k out of the front set but the wet grip is probably as good as you'll get , equally impressed with the dry grip even when pushing on . £119 for 2...
I don't know about your car only revving to 6k , whether thats related to the crank sensor? I had a slight problem with starting about 12 months ago , it was intermittent . After reading a few posts on here I took off the tdc sensor , cleaned it and It's been fine ever since . Have you tried...

Seems expensive to me . I'm sure I've seen other people post about them for alot less money .
Lots on here , varying prices . All supposedly for the 182...
They don't look naff mate . To the untrained eye of a Clio owner they'd look oem . I just positioned mine in place , used some masking tape to hold it there and drilled some very small pilot holes in the bumper then used self tappers . Trimmed the ends with a sharp stanley knife , job done ...
I don't know why anybody would consider joining it in the mddle :openmouth: It'll be more work than needed and look shite . Just fit it central and trim both ends , job done . It's dead easy .
The easiest way to remove the rubber coating is to leave them soaking in Dettol disinfectant . I got this tip off a modeling website for stripping paint off plastics. Leave the handles submerged for 24 hours and the coating just peels off . It has to be Dettol though apparently . It's not...
Autoglym Engine and Machine cleaner is good at removing oil , grease etc .......

Just nipped in Halfords to buy a sump plug key as I've misplaced my old one .
It said £4.99 on the shelf , but at the counter they only charged me 25p . The guy on the counter didn't know why and didn't really seem bothered if it was an error or not , he never checked lol .
So just a heads up...
If the bulbs bigger than 10mm in diameter it won't fit in the hole . Behind the drivers side light is an awkward bugger to get at . I extended the wires on the drivers side so I can pull it out of the engine bay, now I can change the sidelights in a couple of seconds if i ever need to
Just checked a spare manifold i have off a 182 and it's the same part number as you quoted . So yeah . You have the wrong manifold .
It doesn't matter if you buy a manifold off a 172 or 172 cup , they're the same.
Try phoning Renault Wolverhampton . They're usually the cheapest . Lots of people have used them on CS over the years including myself.

Renparts are selling replica headlights on ebay , the part numbers for left and right are different to the ones you've posted .

This is how I always bed in new pads and discs , regardless of car or whatever make of pads and discs. Take it on the motorway for a good long drive around 70 - 80mph , lots of gentle left foot braking and I don't mean just pressing the pedal and releasing , I mean keeping your foot on the pedal...
Cheers . I couldn't see any tabs yesterday so I ended up cutting it off the old seat , then i prised it all apart with a scrwewdriver . I broke off even more of that red tab but managed to glu it back together . All done now . Thanks anyway
I used a new one from a Genuine Renault kit I'd had for a while , although the one I took off wasn't in too bad condition .You can buy them on ebay. The seem to be listed under 2.5" donut gasket . You'd probably be able to get one from a local exhaust place.
It wasn't leaking from there , but the cup it sits in , in the manifold had rusted through again , so one side wasn't holding it on it was just merrily rattling away. I live 30 miles from the coast . I can honestly say , including today I've changed the kit 6 times , always using genuine Renault...
Having owned my 182 for 10 and half years and going through God knows how many fitting kits because they rust away within minutes I thought I'd have a go at making an alternative using all Stainless parts .
I don't know if anybodys interested , but there are the parts I used

I want to remove the old seat as it's knackered and replace with a newer seat.
I've disconnected the larger plug under the seat but I can't seem to separate the smaller connector in the pic . There " was " a red plastic tab on , but that broke off . I've pulled , squeezed but the bugger won't...
The dial over reads ever so slightly compared to what you set your cruise control speed at . Also what you set your cruise control speed to will be slightly over what your actual speed is compared to gps . i.e. set it at 70mph and you'll be doing about 68mph .
Haven't got a clue about the faulty...
I had a Powerflow many moons ago on my 172 , granted it only has one backbox but it was only £230 new . There's nothing wrong with them imo . Offer him £150 , tell him you think its a Powerflow and they're not much more than that new . If you don't ask , you don't get in this world :tonguewink...
