+1 lol . I can think of a few things that can be described as a " pleasurable experience. " Dining in a nice restaurant , drinking cold beer on a hot sunny beach , someone giving you a fantastic blowjob . Now they are what i would call pleasurable experiences .
2 weeks ago , the first...
Just make sure it's clean and grease free . No need to prime , any aerosol spray will do to be honest , but as you're going for silver , you might as well use a can of high temp spray as it usually comes in silver as a standard colour . Nice Flamer by the way
If yours is an import , it wouldn't have had an alarm fitted as standard as well as no CD changer . How is yours newer than a 53 plate ? Baring in mind they stopped manufacturing 172's in Dec 2003 . Maybe yours was manufactured earlier than the flamer , but not registered until later ? I was...
They're only " bad brakes " as you say , if they don't stop your car . Is your car stopping ok ? If so , there's no problem with your pads , they just need a little bit of grease on the back of the pads . Some brake pads do squeal more than others though , it's down to the the compound they are...
Big can of worms . So many choices and so many different opinions , and you'll get so many people recommending that what they're running are the best thing since sliced bred . I was running Uniroyal Rainsport 2's . I thought they were a really good tyre in the dry and really come into their own...
Welcome to the Forum . I've been to Joburg ( Hyde Park ) a few times, loved your city and the outdoors lifestyle , never really saw any Renaults though . I saw lots of mint Mk1 Golf Citis though which i found kind of strange lol . Your cars looking good mate .
I've used that before on plastic and It's fine . You'll also need something to degrease all the plastics like IPA , this on ebay is just an example , maybe also varying grades of wet n dry . Keeping the plastic clean and grease free is very important ...
From what I've read on here . The mintex discs can be a problem . They have the wrong amount of teeth on the ABS ring . Better of sticking with oem discs and pads for the rear . Like i said in your other post , message adam @wolverhampton renault . He sells them on ebay too ...
They're not Brembo discs mate , the advert makes it sound like they are , they're just Brembo pads .
Have a word with George @G 172 . He's the main man on here for brake discs and pads .
Mines standard suspension all round . Like i said before , just give it a few miles and see how it feels , maybe have a play about upping the pressure slightly . I think Rainsports are a bit Marmite , some love em some hate em . Personally i think they're a very good tyre , especially in the wet...
It definitely doesn't move around under hard braking , there maybe some slight flex in the tyre wall when cornering fast , but I'd come from Rainsport 2's which when i had fitted the first time was definitely more noticeable after Michelin PE2's . You sort of get used to it after a while . What...
The k-tec carbon ones break too :openmouth: . Skoda Fabia for me . Cheap as chips , easy to fit , look oem to the untrained eye and is flexible if something should hit it
Yeah it'll pass the MOT no problem mate . They're not that much whiter than oem , just slightly . Like i said before . Renault wanted something like £90 a bulb lol .
I think it is , I'm not 100% sure to be honest . I know a few people on here have them . If you do a search you'll probably get a better idea of what they are like .
That was another thing i noticed about mine , as well as going slightly pink and going on an off , they weren't lighting the road up like they did when it was new . The 5000k ones are better imo than the 4300k oem ones as they're slightly brighter / whiter ( not blue ) and they really light the...
I have one , and yeah they are quite loud , I think one of the reasons is because they don't have a centre box . As said above , with a decat it can be a bit too loud at times .
I've never used it in the engine bay , so can't comment on that . I've used it on the scuttle panel , rear bumper insert and the black plastic around the wing mirrors and it was fine. Mine gets dirty anyway due to driving it , I just give it a wash lol . WD40 is a good , cheap fix imo .
Firstly . How do you know it's the ballast ? My bulbs would intermittently go out , then come back on again . I bought 2 new bulbs on the advice of others on here from .
http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/d2s-35w-hid-xenon-bulb-set/ £15.99 delivered for 2
OEM are 4300k , i bought the 5000k which are...
I've had some Uniroyal Rainsport 3's on for just over a week now , with 250 miles under their belt . I was impressed with the old Rainsport 2's i had taken off , and these are equally impressive , especially in the wet .
