they're crazy profiles, serious high revving stuff. You'll need solid lifters and rocker arms to match, and with 4.4mm of lift at TDC I'm certain you wont be able to use standard pistons.
What are you wanting to use them for?
highly doubt it's the head gasket, takes some major issues to cause one to fail. More likely it's rocker cover related, which is cambelt off to fix, but needs to be examined to see the extent of the job
no, some have removed the adjuster platform but still fitted the bit that bolts to the axle. Wont be safe without as there's nothing for the spring to locate on and you may aswell just buy lowering springs
As Kam said, you wont notice a big difference between the budget brands. There's a bit of a difference, but not enough to change between them. Get something serious. Cup fitment is limited for quality brands though
Have a look here ;)...
they were all around 3. I opened the throttle but that just raised the idle. Assume auto zero is off as key off/on made no difference, and spark idle seemed to be doing very little as it's now sitting up at around 1200rpm
i have a real soft spot for early 90s cal look cars like this. Will get my hands on a bug again one day and have the advantage of knowing what I'm doing now LOL
TPS....unlikely, it's too smooth going by my previous experiences of faulty ones. Bodies were balanced to account for leaks, once the leaks were fixed they had to be adjusted as they were quite far out. Idle setup is definitely not right. Servo itself is a definite possible issue
