What do you hate about your Clio?

Well its a common fault with the mounts... Mine are fine apart from when the TC kicks in. Its got to the point where I turn it off to get out of junctions in a hurry and the like... Its no where near bad enough to replace the mounts yet though:)

What do you hate about your Clio?

The thump, thump, thump, thump....you get from the traction control/engine smacking the sub frame when pulling from a junction in a hurry:mad: Few rattle's, seating position/gear lever/wheel size could be better. Oh and it would have been nice if the spec included a heated front screen:(...

Are loud Exhausts on a 172/182 Chavvy?

Loud when pressing on and quiet(ish) when in traffic or on the motorway is the way forward:)

Four years on - and for the first time this week...

Maybe now you know there is a "proper" way to use it might realise that its actually a lot better than not having it:S

Four years on - and for the first time this week...

The CC only uses extra horses when the AC is on. When its not on its the same as one without. Not in summer which is what the AC is for. In winter you only use it to demist the windows (which has its own button) or once in a while just to keep it working properly. I can't fault it really...

    50mpg from my 182!

If your getting 50mpg on the computer its not going to be worse than 45 if you do the sums which is still very good.

    50mpg from my 182!

You only get those figures on a good steady long run. But at the same time my normal mpg is around 31-33 with a mixture of town driving to work/shopping and going for a good thrash on on the moors on the weekends. Interesting thing is my old man does very similar most of the time in a 406 hdi...

    50mpg from my 182!

Very good going, best I've had so far is 45mpg over 90 miles. I could have got a few more but I got bored near the end and gave it a short blast.

    The Rattle Factor...

Mine only has a few. Drivers door card buzzes at certain revs. Something near the drivers air vent buzzes, not sure if its the vent or the trim around it. But the worst one comes from the boot lock area. kind of clicking/clunking noise. I think its coming from inside the cylinder part but not...

    172 ph1 and ph2 tax

But it's not going to happen next year:). http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/3429019/Labour-U-turn-on-car-tax-rises.html

    172 ph1 and ph2 tax

I read on Pistonheads last week the gov are going ahead with a U turn on the new tax. It doesn't include new cars and might only be for a year or two. They blamed the crunch for the change of heart lol.

Anyone know what's the best air filter to buy?

If you want sound just pull the air feed off the right side of the box, its free:)

    lights

I fully admit they look daft/chavy and I never use them but I've never been blinded by someones fog lights (apart from rear ones) before tbh.

    04 plate 172's

Cheers lol. I didn't get the CD changer either which is a bugger because I would kill to plug an MP3 player into the standard head unit:(

    04 plate 172's

Mines an import if that makes any difference? It was also registered in Oct 03 iirc.
  22. realnumber 1

    Do you reccommend a 1*2

You can't just put that down to to "problems". The CTR cost more to buy in the first place because its a bigger class of car.

WHATS THE BEST FILTER OUT THERE?

You can just pull the pipe off the right hand side of the air box if you want a nice sound;) and I haven't noticed any decrease in performance what so ever with that method.

    04 plate 172's

Mines a 53 and just has the ESP. Saw a couple of other 53 platers with cruise when I was looking though.

    Do you reccommend a 1*2

I would recommend them. For the money they cost not much comes close. They are quick, handle very well, look good (yet understated), have all the mod cons you need, safe and (although not the main reason to buy one) very good on fuel. I don't think so far (touch wood) they cost to much to...

    MPG 182

Either you drive like a complete tit everywhere you go or you need to take it back to who ever mapped it and get them to fix it lol.
