I've said it before and will probably say it again. Have a look at the AA breakdown and repair cover. It isn't bad and only costs as little £105 or so.
It covered more than the crappy 1 month one that came with my car.

Was that the one that fell to bits and cost you a fortune?
I was given the keys and let out on my own on most of the test drives I had. Had to give it some to see what it was like and make sure I chose a quick one.
Remember on one test drive the sales man came in the back with my old man...
Like said you could get a decent new RS for that money. I think thats why most go for the 1.5k transplant in your shoes.
But if you can check the damage yourself then its worth a try.
£4500?:S ?
From what I've read on here your only looking at around £1500 to replace the engine. If your doing half the work yourself then might be able to fix it for less.
1st was a very nice RB 197 behind the Technical college then I spotted this Lusty in the making:D
And then the way home saw another 197 in the 172 cup style blue up Newhay road.
I must admit I like the glacier white from the pics I've seen. There is a Fiesta ST in the same colour at work and that looks nice too.
The White equivalent of iceberg silver
Ah that one, well its meant to be a good pda phone. Although you will find your self charging it daily. The screen is superb quality.
Once you have had a smart phone you wont go back.
Ping "ip address" with -t on the end will work better. It will run a constant ping until you stop it then just scroll up the screen and see how much it dropped out.
Its not so good if your time (in ms) goes to much into triple figures all the time either.
As DrRollo says, use the boot. I have one of these for mine

Does a fine job of protecting the interior from scratches and crap.
Well if you insist on paying for it.

But if your using what I put above it wont work. You only have 64MB storage (and it resets when the battery goes flat). You would need to get a wired GPS receiver and memory card.
If you mean the foam that is on the plastic undertray then don't worry. Mine fell out the other week and the oil on it will be very black and from the gearbox. After posting about it I was told its normal for the gearbox to weep a bit.
Don't think there's any point replacing it.
Vehicle make/model 172
Vehicle age 2003 53
Vehicle Mileage 62k
Mileage when wheel started to fail. Perfect wheel apart from a little melting on the right hand side which can't be wear and tear.
Reported to Renault? No
Renault's Response? N/A
Well thanks for the responses folks, looks like there is a lot to consider:S . My AA man highly recommends this guy so will have a chat with him.
If say he guaranteed his work for a year would that would be enough if he did it wrong?
Also if anyone does think of any little jobs to do whilst...
Thanks:D will print that out and show him.
When reading around on here I got the impression you might as well change it whilst your there for the price?
My neighbour is an AA man and recommended a cambelt specialist he knows just down the road in Milnsbrige.
As I know the AA man he will do me all the parts at cost and got quoted around £300-320 or something about 6 months ago (without the water pump though).
He's also the type (so AA man says)...
